He received his Commercial Electricians License in 1987 and launched an Electrical Contracting Business. He relocated to Georgetown, Texas in 1989 and founded Norrell Electric. Tom received a Certificate from Imagine Solar in Austin and has installed over 43,000 watts of photovoltaic systems. Tom and his wife Debbie share a three-acre home with their faithful dog Shelia. They utilize photovoltaic power and solar hot water for their foam-insulated residence. Their rainwater storage of 11,000 gallons, soon to be 22,000 gallons, waters their raised bed gardens and melon patches, with chickens taking care of the bugs.
