Among the instructors was Carlita Martinez, an electrician, who provided materials for practical experience. She introduced us to a large plywood sheet, pipes, junction boxes, and various wires. She taught us the workings of a light switch by having us bend pipes, connect wires, and assemble an electrical box. I recognized right away that this was what I wanted to do. This experience was a profound transformation, a shift in my understanding, realizing, ""This is what I want to do."".
