Industrial Electric Testing was established in Florida during the autumn of 1987 as the testing branch of Industrial Electric Construction Company. James T. Hill, then the Chairman and Owner of IET, subsequently bought Industrial, establishing it as a standalone testing firm.

IET is a proud full member of the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA), an ANSI standards organization that includes independent electrical testing companies throughout North America and Canada. Being a full member of NETA allows IET to operate as an impartial testing authority, free from the influence of manufacturers, suppliers, and installers of the equipment or systems being assessed.

Industrial's main office is situated in Jacksonville, Florida, serving the northern, central, and western regions of Florida, along with southern Georgia. In 1988, we incorporated as EG Pump Controls. Before our incorporation, the EG group was a division of Electromate Corporation, which began operations in 1969. Following the sale of Electromate, we retained the controls division under private ownership and incorporated in 1988.

EG Controls operates from 11790 Philips Highway in Jacksonville, Florida. Our facility spans 18,000 square feet on three acres.
