Industrial Electric Testing was established in Florida during the autumn of 1987 as the testing branch of Industrial Electric Construction Company. James T. Hill, then the Chairman and Owner of IET, subsequently bought Industrial, establishing it as a standalone testing firm.

As a full member of the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA), IET is part of an ANSI standards body that includes independent electrical testing firms from North America and Canada. As a full member of NETA, IET serves as an unbiased testing authority, independent of manufacturers, suppliers, and installers of the systems or equipment under evaluation.

Industrial's main office is situated in Jacksonville, Florida, serving the northern, central, and western regions of Florida, along with southern Georgia. Since 1994, our Hallandale branch office has been dedicated to servicing the southern section of the state. The company was founded in 1988 under the name EG Pump Controls. Before this, the EG group operated as a division of Electromate Corporation, which was founded in 1969. Once Electromate was sold, we maintained the controls division privately and incorporated it in 1988.

Our headquarters is located at 11790 Philips Highway in Jacksonville, Florida. We occupy an 18,000 sq ft facility situated on three acres.
