Industrial Electric Testing was established in Florida during the autumn of 1987 as the testing branch of Industrial Electric Construction Company. James T. Hill, who was the Chairman of the Board and Owner of IET, later acquired Industrial and transformed it into an independent testing entity.

IET is a proud full member of the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA), an ANSI standards organization that includes independent electrical testing companies throughout North America and Canada. Being a full member of NETA allows IET to operate as an impartial testing authority, free from the influence of manufacturers, suppliers, and installers of the equipment or systems being assessed.

The headquarters of Industrial is located in Jacksonville, Florida, catering to the northern, central, and western areas of Florida, as well as southern Georgia. We have maintained a branch office in Hallandale since 1994 to serve the southern part of Florida. The company was founded in 1988 under the name EG Pump Controls. Prior to this, the EG group functioned as part of Electromate Corporation, established in 1969. Following the sale of Electromate, we retained the controls division under private ownership and incorporated in 1988.

We are based at 11790 Philips Highway in Jacksonville, Florida. Our operations are housed in an 18,000 square foot facility across three acres.
