Jerry L Martin, the president and license holder, originally hails from Highland, Indiana. In 1970, his father retired, prompting the family to move to Lee County, Florida. Jerry attended Ft Myers Middle School and graduated from Ft Myers High School in 1977. Over the years, Jerry has actively supported youth athletics in Lee County. He has coached youth soccer for the Cape Coral Soccer Association and youth basketball with the Youth Basketball Association of Lee County (YBA). Additionally, he supports Bishop Verot High School and its athletic programs.

The secretary/treasurer, Debbie Martin, comes from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. In 1972, her family relocated to Lee County, Florida, because of a job transfer. She graduated from Ft Myers High School in 1979 and earned a BS degree in Finance from the University of South Florida.

In 1980, Jerry and Debbie met and were married in 1982. In 1984, they had their only child, Nick. In 2003, Nick graduated from Bishop Verot High School and went on to graduate from the University of South Florida in 2008.

In 1990, I began selling lighting products and performing repairs under the fire equipment name, and the business flourished until I created a new entity, West Coast Lighting of SW FL, in January 2001. In 2015, we changed our name to West Coast Electrical & Lighting Services to better align with our current operations. I have been trained in the use of specialized equipment for diagnosing electrical issues and possess more than 25 years of experience in this field.
