During my time at Parks College of Aeronautical Technology in Illinois, I met Anne, who would eventually be my wife. We moved to Burbank, California, where I undertook an apprenticeship, passed the California Electrical Contractor Test, and earned my license. I founded Modern Electric in 1984 to serve local clients. From replacing a light switch for an elderly customer to installing an electrical panel for a celebrity or assisting a property management firm, Modern Electric represents quality, licensed work with a friendly approach.

We decided to elope and moved to Burbank, California, where I began an apprenticeship with a licensed electrical contractor and worked as a plant electrician for Pacific Aero.

While my time at Pacific Aero was enjoyable, I wanted to engage more directly with the community, so I founded Modern Electric in 1984.
