We relocated to Burbank, California, where I completed an apprenticeship, passed the California Electrical Contractor Test, and obtained my license. I founded Modern Electric in 1984 to serve local clients. Following that, I studied at Parks College of Aeronautical Technology in Illinois, where I received my commercial pilot and multi-engine licenses. I met my wife Anne there, and I chose to stay grounded and raise a family.

We chose to elope and relocated to Burbank, California, where I started an apprenticeship with a licensed electrical contractor and took a job as a plant electrician for Pacific Aero.

While my time at Pacific Aero was enjoyable, I wanted to engage more directly with the community, so I founded Modern Electric in 1984.

Having all four of our children graduate from Burbank Schools has been an incredible blessing!
