Back in 1978, I launched a business fueled by a passion for plumbing that developed into irrigation services for recreational areas, sports fields, and local businesses throughout Southern California. This journey in that field broadened into the petroleum industry, where we set new standards through certifications that eventually transitioned us to the field of electrical work.

Though that was a long time ago, we understood over time that the needs of consumers was lacking attention. We now focus our skills toward people like you, and our knowledge serves as the foundation for Hayden's Services:

I began my journey in industrial electricity at the age of 20. I found joy in the trade and the skills I developed, I ventured into the commercial and residential sectors as well. I obtained my general contractor's license and my C-10 electrical contractor license, and as I valued customer interaction, launching my own company was a logical progression.

As a family-owned electrical contractor, we serve La Verne, CA. Since 1982, we have been providing quality electrical services. We specialize in various electrical tasks such as service work, remodels, can lighting, panel upgrades, additions, ceiling fans, home theater systems, flat panel TV mounting, commercial projects, machine connections, 3 phase power, and 277/480 volt power.

Martin Scherer earned his C-10 electrical license in September 1982. Our operations have been focused in the San Gabriel Valley since that time. Our family, consisting of Marty, Tina, and Jason Scherer, operates the business.

Jason oversees daily operations and ensures everything runs smoothly.

I started my path in the electrical field as a child, learning the basics from my dad while tinkering with an H.O. train set. This early exposure fueled my passion, prompting me to study basic electricity and electronics in high school and expand my knowledge in junior college. After my enlistment in the U.S. Air Force, I trained as a weapons mechanic, maintaining the electrical systems of F-4 jets.

Upon returning home, I continued my career at Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company, where I spent five years refining my skills. Eventually, I made the decision to start my own electrical contracting business. This was when I started to understand the complexities of the trade—knowledge that I still pursue every day. I hold the belief that the day I cease to learn is the day I either retire or no longer exist.
