Since 1978, I founded a business fueled by a passion for plumbing that developed into landscaping and irrigation for recreational areas, sporting venues, and businesses throughout Southern California. Our experience in irrigation expanded into the oil sector, where we set new standards through certifications that eventually led us to the electrical industry.

Though that was a long time ago, we understood over time that the public demand wasn't being handled satisfactorily. We now focus our talent toward clients like you, and our experience serves as the core foundation for Hayden's Services:

I began my journey in industrial electricity at the age of 20. Enjoying the trade and skills I acquired, I decided to branch into both commercial and residential as well. I obtained my general contractor's license and my C-10 electrical contractor license, and as I valued customer interaction, starting my own business felt like a natural step.

We are a family-run electrical contractor based in La Verne, CA. We have proudly served our community with electrical solutions since 1982. Our expertise includes service work, remodels, can lighting, panel upgrades, additions, ceiling fans, home theater systems, flat panel TV mounting, commercial construction, machine connections, 3 phase power, 277/480 volt power, and much more.

Martin Scherer obtained his C-10 electrical license back in September of 1982. Our operations have been focused in the San Gabriel Valley since that time. Our family, consisting of Marty, Tina, and Jason Scherer, operates the business.

As the operations manager, Jason takes care of the daily functions of the business.

I started my path in the electrical field as a child, learning the basics from my dad while tinkering with an H.O. train set. This initial experience sparked my curiosity, leading me to pursue studies in basic electricity and electronics during high school and further my education in junior college. Upon enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, I received training as a weapons mechanic, focusing on the upkeep of electrical systems in F-4 aircraft.

Once I returned, I worked at Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company for five years, honing my skills in the field. In time, I decided to take the leap and establish my own electrical contracting company. This was when I started to understand the complexities of the trade—knowledge that I still pursue every day. I hold the belief that the day I cease to learn is the day I either retire or no longer exist.
