Before joining the Navy in '93, I worked in Maintenance for the US Forest Service, where I gained valuable experience. During my two years of training, I became a Nuclear Reactor Operator and Electronics Technician. After my honorable discharge, I joined Kodak, starting as an Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technician, then advancing to Trainer and Supervisor.

In '03, I relocated to Mammoth and became part of MMSA's Lift Maintenance Department. I earned my C-10 Electrical license in '08 and founded B.I.G.. I went full-time with B.I.G. in 2010. I was elected President of the Mammoth Lakes Contractors Association in 2012 and appointed as Commissioner of the Town's Building Advisory Committee and Construction Board of Appeals. I earned my General Contracting license in 2017, and I remain focused on my original vision for B.I.G..

I entered the electrical field in 1985 by attending Los Angeles Trade and Technical College. I worked as an apprentice in the afternoons while completing a two-year program in Electrical Construction and Maintenance. In 1988, I relocated to Mammoth Lakes and began my role as a ski lift electrician at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. I was responsible for the construction and upkeep of ski lifts, water systems, and the development of the snowmaking compressor building and pump stations. I designed and installed updated control systems for several existing ski lifts. In 1999, I decided to focus on my contracting business, stepping away from the ski area, and I have been committed to the Eastern Sierra ever since.
