Before joining the Navy in '93, I worked in Maintenance for the US Forest Service, where I gained valuable experience. During my two years of training, I became a Nuclear Reactor Operator and Electronics Technician. After my honorable discharge, I joined Kodak, starting as an Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technician, then advancing to Trainer and Supervisor.

I moved to Mammoth in '03 and joined the Lift Maintenance Department at MMSA. In '08, I obtained my C-10 Electrical license and established B.I.G.. In 2010, I dedicated myself to B.I.G. on a full-time basis. I was elected President of the Mammoth Lakes Contractors Association in 2012 and appointed as Commissioner of the Town's Building Advisory Committee and Construction Board of Appeals. In 2017, I obtained my General Contracting license, and I continue to keep my founding vision for B.I.G. at the forefront of my mind.

In 1985, I started my career in the electrical sector by studying at Los Angeles Trade and Technical College. I worked as an apprentice in the afternoons while completing a two-year program in Electrical Construction and Maintenance. In 1988, I moved to Mammoth Lakes, where I took on the position of ski lift electrician for Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. I was responsible for the construction and upkeep of ski lifts, water systems, and the development of the snowmaking compressor building and pump stations. I also created and implemented new control systems for many of the existing ski lifts. In 1999, I made the decision to shift my focus to my contracting business, leaving the ski area, and I have proudly served the Eastern Sierra since then.
