In 2005, I joined WECA, an electrical apprenticeship program, having minimal experience about building trades. Over the course of the five-year training in commercial and residential electrical work, I gained extensive knowledge in various electrical systems. Alongside this, I observed other trades, sought advice, and grew from my errors.
I graduated from the apprenticeship program on time in 2010, even though I was short on hours due to the economic downturn in 2009, which caused a two-year slowdown.
I felt weary of being the junior member on the totem pole. Not wanting to travel for long periods, I encountered layoffs whenever business dipped. So, I made the decision to build my own totem pole. Each time I was laid off, I started making moves to establish my own company and cultivate it for growth. It was doing well, but I encountered numerous opportunities for jobs exceeding $500 (the limit for a handyman license), and too few jobs under that amount. As a result, I reduced the handyman business and focused on obtaining my license as an electrical contractor.

I launched my career as an Electrical Apprentice for Union Pacific. After becoming a Journeyman, I initiated my own company by promoting it in the Penny Saver and nearby newspapers. My main expertise lies in residential electrical work, I’ve worked with notable commercial clients, including Farmers Insurance, Carmax, and Napa Auto Parts. In my free time, I spend my spare time traveling, motorcycling, and updating my homes.
