In 2005, I joined WECA, an apprenticeship for electricians, with little knowledge about the construction industry. During the five-year apprenticeship in both commercial and residential settings, I learned a great deal in the electrical field. Simultaneously, I watched other trades, asked questions, and learned from my mistakes.
I finished the five-year apprenticeship on time in 2010, although I lacked enough hours due to the economic downturn in 2009, which resulted in a slowdown lasting two years.
I grew tired of being the least experienced on the team. Unwilling to travel for long periods, I faced layoffs whenever work slowed down. Consequently, I chose to create my own path. With every layoff, I started making moves to start my own venture and cultivate it for growth. It showed promise, but I encountered numerous opportunities for jobs over $500 (the cap for handyman work), and not enough jobs below that limit. Consequently, I limited the handyman business and concentrated on obtaining my electrical contracting license.

I launched my career as an Electrical Apprentice for Union Pacific. After becoming a Journeyman, I established my own business through ads in the Penny Saver and local publications. While I focus on residential electrical services, I have also served significant commercial clients like Farmers Insurance, Carmax, and Napa Auto Parts. In my free time, I spend my spare time traveling, motorcycling, and updating my homes.
