The year 1972 saw Chuck Turner join as a stakeholder of Jackson Electric and developed security system design and setup. The year 1978 marked the division of the firm's protection offerings from the electric side, and in 1982 it became JSS. In that same year, JSS purchased a competitor in security in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The year 1988 saw, Chuck Turner purchased both the electric and safety divisions and combined the companies. In 1992, Turner's son, Brad was designated to the role of Vice President of Jackson Security Services, and the year 2000, Jim Essary was brought on as the VP and General Manager.

During 2014, Jackson Electric Services combined with a comparable firm in the Tuscaloosa area. At present, Jackson Security Services continues its dedication to quality. Essary continues to lead the company as the VP and General Manager.
