In 1997, he fully committed to self-employment, transforming his part-time filter service into a full-fledged heating, air conditioning, and electrical business. In 2014, he and his wife, Sharon, founded Craft Companies LLC. In 2018, Gary, Sharon, and their two sons opted to rename the company from Gary Craft Heating and Air to Climate Crafters.
