By 1997, he dedicated himself to full-time self-employment, evolving his part-time filter service into a comprehensive heating, air conditioning, and electrical company. In 2014, he established Craft Companies LLC alongside his wife, Sharon. The company underwent its most recent transformation in 2018 when Gary, Sharon, and their two sons rebranded from Gary Craft Heating and Air to Climate Crafters.
