Jackson Electric was established by Tennis and Alma, and has been a dependable provider of power and safety solutions in West Alabama for over a generation. Residential and commercial security services were launched as part of the electric company in the early 1950s.

The year 1972 saw a new partner, Chuck Turner as a partner of Tennis Jackson Electric Company and developed alarm system design and implementation. In 1978 the separation of the firm's safety solutions from the power division, and in the following year it became JSS. In that same year, JSS took over a competitor in security in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

During 1988, he purchased both the electric and safety divisions and combined the companies. The year 1992 marked, his son, Brad Turner was named as Vice President of Jackson Security Services, and by 2000, Jim Essary was hired as the General Manager and Vice President.

During 2014, Jackson Electric Services combined with a comparable firm in the Tuscaloosa area. Today, Jackson Security Services remains its dedication to quality. He remains at the helm the company as General Manager and Vice President.
