Bernie and his team are really great! I spoke to Bernie on the phone and I asked for estimates to move a receptical and have 2 ceiling fans installed in rooms with no cieling boxes. I paid exactey what he estimated! Crew was on time and very clean and respectful gentleman. Workmanship is outstanding and professional. These guys know what they are doing and do it well! I highly recommend Zavala Electric. I will use them for all my electricity needs in the future! So happy I called them.

Bernie and his team are one of the most honest and reliable contractors I have worked with. He is very efficient with his work and pleasant. His team came to fix my fire place and arrived early and promptly. They were extremely knowledgable and helpful and informed me that the prior builder had installed the fire place incorrectly. He installed a switch that turned my fire place ""on"" and ""off"" and it looks wonderful. He works very hard and at one point worked 3 weeks without taking a break. As an oncologist I appreciate another man who works hard at his craft. I highly recommend Zavala Electric and in fact will be recommending him to my entire building which contains 17 units. Great company!

I had the electrician guy named John I think. He came over to fix my ceiling fan because it went out and I really needed to get it fixed because the central AC in my house is quite expensive. He seemed to know what he was doing and fixed it in about 20 minutes. I am glad that it is working now the only thing is that I feel that he overcharged me by a little. Turns out that he actually gave me a fair price because I called a few other companies and asked and they gave me a round the same price range. Gosh, I didn't know things like these were so expensive!

As a homeowner, I have found that with various tasks around the house, it is important to,""Have a guy."" Unfortunately, electrical was a craft that I had no contact and due to that I was reluctant to venture down that path. When we upgraded our spa, I needed to find someone. That is how I found Zavala Electric. The reviews on yelp seemed good, but I was still a bit tentative. Within minutes after Bernie arrived, I knew I could trust him. He explained the costly option, but then gave me a better route that he recommended. His work is done professionally and promptly. I was so happy with his work, that I then felt I could finally do a long awaited project of installing motorized Hunter Douglas blinds, with Bernie running electrical to all of our windows. His interaction with Greg, of the Vertical Factory, insured a clean install of the blinds. They look amazing with all electrical work neatly hidden in the walls. I would highly recommend Zavala Electric.

Bernie was great, he came out and gave me a good estimate and made some money saving suggestions. I had my out door lighting rewired and added in an additional box so the lights would be brighter, he did a good job.

I am sorry to have to do this, but our service with Mr. Zelaya was not up to par. We asked him to hang a foyer chandelier (at 17 ft. high), change out a bathroom fan and replace a shorted out switch. After charging close to $500.00, the work was not completed. He did not give me a time estimate, nor a price estimate until he was in my home, so I was stuck. The chandelier was hung crooked and he almost did not put in the light bulbs (""oh, you can do that"" - not why I hired an electrician), the drywall was not patched around the bathroom fan and the fan does not come on consistently when you flip the switch. And after 4 hours at my home (which I felt was plenty of time to do these jobs with 2 people) he left a mess on the floors that I had to clean up. To be fair, I did have to leave to pick up my kids at school, but I gave him a 25 minute ""warning"" and they quickly left the mess with 10 minutes to spare. I called him later and asked him to make the issues right and he wanted to charge me for another hour of his time at $120.00. I told him no thank you. I am seriously disappointed after reading other 5 star reviews that I can NOT recommend this electrician.
