We've used Zavala Electric several times ranging from small jobs that was completed in 1-2 hrs to bigger jobs that lasted about 4-5 days. My husband's recording studio was constantly buzzing among other things in the home wired incorrectly. Bernie and his crew fixed everything was always great at explaining it all in detail. His quotes were always fair.

I needed an electrician to come out with some urgency and check a potential problem. Bernie was the only reply I received. He let me know that he was at another job and would come by after he was done. He later informed he was delayed at the job, but he would still come over, which he did. He and his coworker, Blake, inspected the issue, determined there was no issue and provided a clear explanation. Bernie said there would be no charge for the call, since they had been so delayed.

I appreciated the communication, expertise and quick reply to my call.

Zavala electric is awesome! I needed to add a special exterior outlet for a car charger. Bernie is very knowledgeable, kind, prompt, and his rates are very reasonable. He knew exactly what I needed and ordered all the materials necessary to ligitametly install my car charger outlet. About a year ago I hired a handy man to install an outdoor outlet do I can put a water fountain my wife wanted...a year later...no fountain because the outlet didn't work. I called a dozen times to get him back but only told that I had to check this line or that button...something must be wrong in the house....blah blah blah.

Now to Bernie and Blake. The other day I was trimming the rose bush and again saw the outlet that didn't work.....so when I arrived at work the next morning ...I went on yelp. At 6:00 AM I pressed the button for quotes which goes out to several electricians.....exactly one minute later my phone starts ringing. Now I'm thinking who in the hell is calling me so early...so I let it go to voicemail. IT WAS BERNIE WHO SAID THAT HE CAN GET THE JOB DONE!

Ok..so i called back and thought...let me hear your sales pitch. No pitch but just questions and answers. I said..youre hired!

Bernie made me his last stop of the day...which he came about 7pm. I wasn't even home from work and he trusted me enough to send him his payment. Nobody does that anymore! Outlet works....fountain on its way...wife happy. You definitely have to hire this guy....honest quotes...great workmanship... very fair prices. You won't regret hiring Bernie and his team!

This is the third job I've had Zavala Electric do and by far the most impressive out of an already great body of work.

We're re-doing our kitchen and wanted to install a subway tile backsplash. The tile guy mentioned moving the electrical outlets off the wall and having them in and under the kitchen cabinets. I'd never heard of this and was quite concerned about cutting into the cabinets to mount the outlets. Also I was perplexed as to how to install the garbage disposal switch in this new configuration. Bernie suggest an air button switch installed under the cabinet.

Bernie and Blake showed up at noon on a Saturday and didn't leave until 8PM. This was simply a magnificent effort. Perfect, finish carpenter cuts into the cabinets, completely moved and re-surfaced the old boxes and outlets. The wall was completely ready for tile and all the electrical was gone and inside the cabinets and new power strips mounted underneath and the super cool garbage disposal switch up and operating. Now we can tile on a completely uninterrupted surface with no breaks in the design to move around some nasty looking old switch. Revolutionary. What a great job. Hire Bernie and Blake.

I called Zavala (spoke with Bernie Zavala) earlier this week for the repair of an outdoor plug. They provided same day service at 7:30 PM which is above and beyond the call of duty. The price was reasonable even for that time of day. He did the repair, and checked out the breaker panel while he was here. There was no attempt to upsell - e.g. ""This equipment is old and you should think about replacing it"". All in all a very professional and pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

I can't say enough good things about Bernie. We have hired several different contractors to do work on our new home and by far, Bernie has been the most knowledgable, professional and all around easiest to work with. He helped us make our new home absolutely beautiful and we so appreciate how honest and helpful he was through all of it. Over the years we have tried to get ""budget"" friendly people to work on our home, and it really has not paid off all of the time. Because I have worked in the electrical field (High Voltage) as a helper, I recognize a professional when I see one, and electrical work on your home is no place to cut corners. Bernie and his crew have worked on our home before, and they did an excellent job taking care of an urgent situation, our stove was not working and we were not able to cook. While working on the stove Bernie noticed some items that were not safe, so this time I had them back to take care of those items. They did a fantastic job getting everything done, and they were extremely flexible working around our schedule. Thank you!!!
