They showed up on time the next morning after I called and talked to whom I believe is the owner about my water heater not working properly. They rewired my box with the correct gauge wire and installed the correct breaker. I'm also impressed that they charged me what I feel was a reasonable fee for the services of 2 electricians and one was billed at half the rate of the other one leading me to discern that there was an apprentice which for this job I feel was merited.

Our outside outlet quit working about a week ago, and contacted Scott a day after Christmas. He set up the date and time to accommodate my availability, and Glenn came to check on it. Actually, Glenn came before the promised time! He was professional, and explained why the outlet was not working. I am a satisfied customer, and I will call Scott again when I need an electrician!!

HIGHLY recommended. We needed help. We were lava evacuees and the place we moved to didn't have hot running water or stove. Scott came out and did an assessment. In less than a day I got a quote. I accepted the quote. We scheduled an early morning appointment, a workman came out (ON TIME I might add). And 2 hours later I had two 220v lines in the house to run an electric hot water heater and electric stove.
Very neat, professional workmanship. Reliable and courteous company and management. Thank God there are still places like this that take pride in what they do. A++++++

We called Yamamoto Electrical this morning to help us fix 2 switches for our living room light. The person they sent to our house was by no means an electrician he didn't even know how to hook up a simple 3 way switch in our living room. Once I saw that he had no idea what he was doing I politely asked him to please button up the switches like I had them put the covers back on and that we would call somebody else to help us with this very simple problem. The guy they sent just walks outside gets in his van and drives off leaving my fiancé and I with a bunch of wires sticking out of our walls and he hooked up the wrong switch in the kitchen I cant believe he didn't even put boots on the wires or anything he just left them all sticking out of the wall so anybody that touches one could be electrocuted he was the worst electrician I've ever seen calling him an electrician is an insult to all electricians how can someone call themselves a professional and leave someones house like that DONT EVER CALL YAMAMOTO ELECTRICAL DONT CALL them they will send you this moron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and not to mention how he had to ask us for electrical tape what kind of electrician comes to your house without electrical tape

My daughter in Hilo had just bought a home and needed an outlet installed in the kitchen for her range. She is a single mother of two, with no knowledge of electricity. I live in Arizona and needed to find a local electrician that is reliable and trustworthy . I referred to yelp for references.

I contacted Scott of ""Yamamoto Electrical."" I explained that my daughter had bought a house that was a foreclosure. Because I am in the mainland I have never seen the house so I was concerned of the condition the electrical system.

Scott instantly understood my concern for my daughter's safety and immediately contacted her. He was there within the hour. He inspected the system, and installed the outlet. Except for minor items he gave the system a clean bill of health. He gave this father and grandfather, peace of mind.
