HIGHLY recommended. We needed help. We were lava evacuees and the place we moved to didn't have hot running water or stove. Scott came out and did an assessment. In less than a day I got a quote. I accepted the quote. We scheduled an early morning appointment, a workman came out (ON TIME I might add). And 2 hours later I had two 220v lines in the house to run an electric hot water heater and electric stove.
Very neat, professional workmanship. Reliable and courteous company and management. Thank God there are still places like this that take pride in what they do. A++++++

I needed an electrician to change a 240 volt outlet to 110 volt in a kitchen of a home built in 1949 and I needed it done fairly quickly because of the delivery of a new gas range in the early part of February 2023.

Yamamoto Electric responded immediately and was able to schedule us in before the delivery of the new stove.

I especially appreciate Yamamoto Electric for its service but the cost was reasonable too.

We used Yamamoto Electrical Services for a total rewire of our old plantation house. Dustin and his crew did an awesome job in general. They were very good keeping us informed about the progress and timeline, had great suggestions for placement of outlets, fixtures, etc., were always professional, went above and beyond in making sure all the little things were done, and finished on time. I would definitely recommend them to anyone doing a big job or small job.

We requested that solar panels should be installed over our carport in case there are any leaks. Scott reassured us there would be no leaks and insisted that hey must be installed over the house instead. He installed the panels. There were some obvious holes in the roof after they installed the panels that weren't there (we had a new 50 year coating over the roof before Scott's team did the work) where you could see sunlight looking up from below, so we reported that and he had his team fix it right away, but using common 5 year caulk rather than the stuff designed for our gaco roof coating, which we mentioned but he reassured us it wouldn't have any problems. About 5 years later, we started getting leaks under the panels. I called Scott and he said he's not guaranteeing our roof forever and wouldn't discuss dealing with the problem. This is exactly what I was worried about putting them over the house rather than the carport or using that cheap caulk. I found places where I could reach from the side where the caulk was coming loose and causing drips. The bad places were where his workers tried to find something to drill into by drilling a series of holes in a line until they hit wood. Then they simply caulked over each of the holes, and some are coming loose now. I want to rip up his cheap caulk and put the stuff that is specified by the gaco roof coating company for patching their roof coat, so I emailed him with an image of water pouring through a hole in the roof during a heavy rain (we cut through the ceiling to see the roof from underneath and there was a constant stream of water when it rained hard). Now we have a bucket under that. We asked if he'd take the panels off so we could replace that cheap caulk that he and his team put on. Not even asking him to do the roof work - just take his panels off and back on but he's not replying to our emails. I wish he would have done as I asked and 1. installed the panels over the carport instead of the house, 2. Measure precisely instead of drilling rows of holes (in more than one instance) 3. used the proper roof patch for this type of roof coating. 4. Having failed that, to fix the roof properly when it does leak. 5. Or at least take off the panels while we do the roof repair correctly ourselves. Otherwise his electrical work was fine. He would have had a great review. I would be even more happy if he would just move the panels over the carport like we first requested so we can patch the roof over our house. The angle, shading, distance would all be better under the carport that where he put the panels.

This review is long overdue. Sorry for leaving it so late. We called Yamamoto electric to get a quote to move our dryer outside since the new house we bought had 1. No room to put the dryer inside the close they built it way too small and 2. They never out a vent inside for the dryer. Dustin came out to give us a quote pretty quickly. We also asked him to quote us for changing 3 hanging light fixtures to fans. They were reasonably priced and we decided to have them do the work. When Dustin got here in in morning he ran into an unforseen issue how to run the electric for the dryer since what he was originally going to do wasn't accessible like he thought. That was still no issue he went and got the supplies found another way to reroute to vent our dryer outside. It looks clean and nice against the house.

Now for him putting up the fans. He was quick and efficient and let me tell you it makes a difference in the amount of air now that we have in the house with the extra fans.

I would hands down recommend Yamamoto electric.
Dustin was wonderful, quick, and efficient. We will definitely call them for anything further we need.
