In 1978, Steve Wong graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. At just 22, he recognized the chance to obtain his contractor's license and launch his own electrical firm. “The timing was perfect,” Wong reflects. “I had connections with my family's friends, who were growing their businesses and needed electrical services, similar to what I provided for my family's farm. They trusted me because of my family ties and I could communicate effectively since I spoke Chinese. With the growth in Santa Clara Valley during the 1980s, Wong shifted his office to Palo Alto and today leads a team of more than 70. Steve Wong has gained recognition throughout the contracting sector in the valley, catering to a diverse clientele from Fortune 500 firms to smaller developers.

They usually do commercial but they also do home...the electrician that came to my home was amazing, he took off his work boots without my needing to ask because he didn't want to track dirt in my home! So thoughtful and completed the job in 2 hours when they expected it to take twice as long.
