Steve Wong completed his Electrical Engineering degree in 1978. At just 22, he recognized the chance to obtain his contractor's license and launch his own electrical firm. “The timing was perfect,” Wong reflects. “My family's friends were expanding their businesses and needed electrical work, just like I had done for my family's farm, which helped me build a customer base.”. My family connections fostered trust, and my ability to speak Chinese facilitated communication. With the growth in Santa Clara Valley during the 1980s, Wong shifted his office to Palo Alto and today leads a team of more than 70. Steve Wong has gained recognition throughout the contracting sector in the valley, catering to a diverse clientele from Fortune 500 firms to smaller developers.
