Having worked on three of my homes previously, I am a pretty good electrician. However, this issue needed some sleuthing and I used Yelp to explore a worthwhile electrician - who was well recommended - and Geoff came out and we spent some time opening and searching for the line that was back fed to another breaker, isolated it, and ran new wiring to change the dead leg that shut off part of the loop to close the circuit. I must note that this took some time to investigate, and determine the cause and many an electrician would have said 'forgettaboutit' but not Geoff - he found the solution and fixed the problem - I will call on him again without hesitation - totally awesome!!!

We needed to get a defective circuit fixed and called Williams Electric based on the great reviews here. We were not disappointed.

Ronda set up an appointment for the following day and Geoff came 15 minutes early after calling ahead. Within 5 minutes he had identified the problem, within 15 he had replaced the defective part (at no extra charge) and gotten our light back on. Since our house is old, I asked Geoff to make an overall assessment of our electricals, which he did, explaining any issues to me in layman's terms.

Excellent service, no hidden charges (questionable pun intended), we'll use Williams Electric again.

We had Geoff over to our place to do a bunch of work after we bought an old house with an outdated system. When he first came over he gave a quote for pretty much anything he saw that he thought was an electrical issue/ would be something tha needed attention. With all of the other work we were having done we asked if he could just do a few of the major, more pressing projects and if we could perhaps have him back later to work on the others and that was no problem, which was great. He replaced our main electrical panel, added a ground and did a few other projects as well. He was here for the inspection and took care of a few things that needed touching up while the guy was here at no extra expense so that the job would pass.

Geoff was very professional, timely and responsive. He gave our dogs a lot of love too and made sure they didn't escape out the side gate while he was doing his work. He was friendly and the prices were fair. We would recommend him for anyone looking for some electrical help!

We had our refrigerator go out on Thanksgiving day and Geoff Williams came out to fix it within a half an hour! We highly recommend him, He provides friendly, quick service with reasonable prices.

I had allocated 3 hours to get the dryer connected, the non working electrical sockets fixed, and other assorted things remedied. Technician was exactly on time, fixed everything in 45 minutes. He showed me I didn't need some of the work (refreshing) and charged me exactly what he said he would. I can't recommend him more highly.

I used Williams Electric recently to install new power outlets in our home and fix up some lighting issues.

First off, it was easy to get a hold of them and schedule an appointment as they have an admin running the phones. This makes scheduling WAY easier that most other services as you dont have to leave messages and chaise them up to arrange times.

Secondly, Geoff works efficiently and fast. He does quality work, is experienced (especially in the MOntclair area) and is very well equipped. He was able to install the units I needed exceptionally quickly (they werent in the easiest of places) and in no time was finished.

Lastly, I think he is a very honest and nice chap. He lent his concrete drill bit to us to use for AV wiring that we were doing the same day. Saving us a lot of heartache and pain. .... not to mention money. He also spoke spanish which was great with my daughter who is learning at the moment.

I will be using his services again.

We had an untimely power outage associated with the recent high winds. We needed an emergency repair and Jeff came out in less than an hour. He quickly assessed the situation, figured out what was going on, did everything he could do, then told us to call PGE for some additional emergency service (we called while he was still at our place). Jeff handled everything carefully and expeditiously. We highly recommend their service.

When we bid on a fixer in Richmond, Williams Electric did the initial inspection and I was impressed by how detailed the report was so I decided to go with Geoff after we took possession. It was such a mess ...from the old General Pacific 50 amp panel to the creative do-it-yourself wiring by previous owners..half the sockets and switches didn't work at all and power to the stove and microwave was intermittent.
But Geoff tracked down and eliminated all the gremlins. He took care of every concern and then some. When I asked what kind of lighting he would suggest for the garage (we had one measly bulb) he suggested and installed 2 eight-foot fluorescents end to end down the center of the garage ceiling. The difference is literally night and day!
Geoff really knows his stuff and thanks to him I feel safe in my new home. Plus he was very sweet to my cat. Boy did she love him! I highly recommend Geoff!

When I woke up and found my refrigerator was not working, and finally figured out that the electrical socket was not supplying electricity anymore, I called Williams Electric and asked if they could help. I found Williams on Yelp and was impressed with all of the positive comments.

I must say, I was not disappointed one bit. Geoff showed up the same day, despite an extremely busy schedule, and within minutes had replaced the improperly grounded and poorly wired socket the correct way.

My refrigerator was refrigerating again saving me, I am sure, at least a few hundred dollars worth of recently purchased groceries.

Geoff was highly professional, extremely knowledgable, and a great guy to boot. I know my job was probably pretty routine and mundane, but Geoff handled it proficiently and competently and explained everything as he went.

I can whole-heartedly recommend Williams Electric for any kind of electrical work you might have.

Willliams Electric helped us in an electrical emergency and saved my family. While my wife was breastfeeding, the main power line to our house broke off from the conduit- blowing out our entire fuse box/panel. They fixed it same day! and we got it approved by PG&E in record time. Unbelievable!!! Highly recommended.
