If I could rate Williams Electric with ten stars instead of five, I would do it!
Over the past week we had suffered outages on some but not all circuits in the house. We did some research and discovered that the 1950s-era Federal Pacific breaker panels may have been the cause. We also discovered that the Federal Pacific systems were potentially hazardous. We found Geoff Williams and Williams Electric in a search for local electricians in Yelp, and Geoff's expertise was clearly the ideal match for our needs. I called on Saturday morning, July 15 (after reading about the potential hazards), and later that Saturday morning Geoff arrived to analyze the situation. He and Ronda promptly provided a reasonable estimate, and we scheduled the circuit breaker panel replacements for Wednesday and Thursday. In the course of replacing the first panel, we discovered another more fundamental issue affecting power delivery to the house. This issue was potentially life-threatening to anyone working on the roof, and on Wednesday afternoon Geoff remedied the power-delivery problem, which probably triggered the issues in our circuit breakers.
I was able to spend time watching Geoff's highly methodical and exacting labors, which revealed a level of attention to quality that I had never before observed in other electricians' work at our home. It's not that they were sub-standard; it's just that Geoff's focus and discipline were evident throughout with no cut corners anywhere.
Finally, Geoff was personable, friendly, and pleasantly conversational without lessening his efficiency. Geoff and our dog also became fast friends. We could not have been more satisfied and pleased with everything that Geoff did for us. We recommend him unreservedly for any electrical work that you may need. Thanks, Geoff -- and Ronda, too!

Great service! Was able to schedule a Saturday appointment easily, Geoff came and got through my little list of items quickly and efficiently. Super knowledge and good with dogs too. Will call again. So glad to have found this local shop as I have struggled to find an electrician that is responsive.

I have an outdated electrical system in old home that desperately needed to be permit-approved and updated during the 4th of July. The city had actually shut of my power until some necessary upgrades were implemented. Terrible timing, but Geoff came through and had the power up and running within a few hours despite the holiday. Just to get by I had to use a generator that was very loud and inconvenient for the neighborhood. Williams Electric made sure that the generator no longer needed to be running within a few hours and before the inspector was able to drop in. When available, the city inspector dropped by, spoke with Geoff, then happily signed off. It was evident that the inspector was fully confident in Geoff's work, and let him wrap up without any further inspection. I couldn't be any happier!
If you are in a pinch, you can definitely count of Williams Electric to set you straight, they work miracles.

He is a pro. Very through and professional. I appreciated all of the preventative work that he did at my home.

There is no doubt that Geoff is a master electrician. His experience, expertise, and professionalism astonish. He diagnosed a fairly serious electrical problem on the PG&E line to our home, which helped them get it right and fixed. Wish we had found him years ago. Wouldn't let anyone else but Geoff do upgrades in our home. Thanks to Rhonda, too! Her expertise shared by phone made a huge difference to us.

As usual, just like last time, Geoff was on time, got the job done on budget with minimal interruption and clever ideas. Super kind to my dog and daughters as well.

Needed help with a short in an electric box. Was able to schedule Geoff for the next morning. He solved my problem quickly and was finihed in less than an hour. Will use them afain.

Williams Electric is great. Jeff is a true professional. He is a master at his trade and offers great suggestions and solutions. He has done alot of work on my home and has never diaspointed me. His wife Ronda is very professional and friendly and her billing is outlined well. I consider both of them friends. Thank you so much Jeff and Ronda. I know I will have more work for you soon..cheers

I called to set up an appointment for what I thought was going to be an hour or so job of installing an energy monitor for my home. Geoff not only arrives on time, but decides to get the job done in about half the time, with no lack of quality or professionalism.
This is the second time I've had Geoff come to our home for electrical work, and both times I'm happy to give him a stellar review.
Until next time...

I've had Geoff over to do some work before, but after this last appointment I wont have him over again.
I hired Williams Electric to put in some wall sconce lights in my bedroom.
The first thing Geoff did was put a large hole in my bedroom wall where he thought the light should go, it was the wrong spot. When I confronted him about it, he said I told him that was where I wanted the light, which wasn't true. I sent a photo to him before the appointment showing him where I wanted the light, which was clearly in a different spot. I had to pull up the photo to prove to him he picked the spot without my approval. He ended up putting the light in the right spot, but now I have a patched hole in my wall that doesn't look good. In fact, I am going to have to hire a handyman to get the wall to look good again.
One other thing, Geoff took one of my bath towels to use as a tarp. I didn't realize this until he handed it to me and asked my to throw away all of the debris inside the towel. He pretty much ruined a good bath towel. All of the other contractors I have had over to do work at my house have brought their own tarps, I have never had someone go into my dirty laundry basket and help themselves to a bath towel. To be perfectly honest, I am really disgusted and personally offended by his action.
Geoff did try to make up for it by knocking a couple of hundred bucks of the job, but I don't think that justified his actions. I really wanted a solid job at full price, instead of a couple of hundred bucks off for electrician who doesn't respect personal property.
