I was referred to Don when I saw the mini splits they installed at my buddy's house. Don came out, quoted the job with 3 mini splits and finished the job on my house in blazing heat, on budget & AHEAD of schedule. Promised me job completion on saturday, and i was making snow balls & freezing my ass by Friday night. Can't be happier, these guys are the best.

Excellent service. Was looking for a local electrician to install an EV 240v Charger. Highly review from yelper got my attention.
Long story short, Don, came in right on time, and knows exactly what has to be done from the electrical panel to installation location. Wire tubing runs flawless and they clean up the mess. His quote was really reasonable.

We had Don (owner) install a Fujitsu ductless air conditioner/heater for two rooms at our home. This included installing the outside condenser, as well as requisite electrical upgrades. Don and Chris (his assistant) are prompt, courteous and neat. Don will explain things to your satisfaction and assure you that he is available for future troubleshooting or maintenance (if required). He has been trained in the installation of Fujitsu models and can recommend the size of unit to meet your a/c and heating requirements. We love our new ductless air conditioner units and are grateful Don installed them in time to combat the upcoming summer heat! Although we debated on getting central a/c instead, we decided the ductless system allowed us to focus energy on specific rooms rather than cooling the entire house. Sure will save us money on our electrical bill! We only wish we had done this years ago!

Were very prompt on giving estimate and followed up next morning to do the job. Installed/repaired outdoor receptacles and replaced few fuses in my main box at reasonable cost. Explained to me what they were doing and when/why had to add small charge for additional part to fix one of the outlets. Did few extra things that didn't charge me for which is always appreciated. Cleaned up well after the job.

The BEST contractor experience! We chose West Hills Electric after reading reviews on Yelp! Don (owner) and his assistant showed up on time and explained the work to be accomplished. I initially hired West Hills Elec to install a light fixture, but I had additional jobs that I wanted quoted.

Very quick in installing light fixture and ensured the install met our satisfaction.

Don and his assistant (I forgot his name) discovered a small leak while working in our crawlspace and presented us with a video on his smart phone (love the use of technology)! Nothing urgent so we scheduled that work for another time.

Don was open to make recommendations but he was not pushy, very professional and forthright. He gave helpful hints and even walked me through making a minor repair myself (saving me money).

My first impression is that they are friendly, communicate well and made us feel at ease. Booked additional work on the spot and Don was very accommodating to our schedule. I would highly recommend West Hills Electric for your electrical, A/C and Heating needs!

This review is not about actual service they performed but about the experience of trying to call them and even get them to do work for me. It includes two attempts - one where I left a voicemail, which wasn't returned. That should have given me a heads up, but I figured perhaps it was just a one time neglect. I called again a few days later and got someone on the phone. I was seeking a quote for a half dozen lights of varying types (chandeliers, ceiling fans, dimmers, etc.) to be installed. He asked a few questions and we scheduled a time and day for an in home estimation. The time window was quite large (all day) and upon requesting a more specific time, it was narrowed to three hours.

Now for the day they're supposed to arrive and do the estimate. The man I spoke with assured me that he'd give me a call an hour before they head out to confirm. Well, guess what - no call and no show. Not cool that I made time and scheduled things accordingly to only have them be a complete no show. I can completely understand that things come up, but I would expect at least a courtesy call to state that they would need to reschedule or that perhaps they're not able to take the job because they have too many large jobs. Either or, really don't appreciate the waste of time and it seems indicative of their communication and customer service.

We asked WEST Hills electrical for an estimate to upgrade our house which was originally built in 1950's. The house required a circuit panel upgrade/ relocation, changing a large number of lamps and upgrading the wiring and putting them on dimmer switches, installing recessed lighting, adding several outlets, updating many old outlets to GFI, and a number of other items. We had bid it out to a number of electricians but were most pleased with the way Don, the owner of West Hills Electrical handled and explained the estimate.

From there we were very glad at how carefully he handled all the details from planning, changes, dealing with the city, interacting with the main contractor, and all the communication which was sometimes 1-2x/ day. He was available, thorough, trustworthy and professional. He and his crew worked very efficiently and accomplished a lot of detailed work in a timely fashion with quality results including meticulously cleaning up after each workday.

Whenever he said he was going to do or say something or be somewhere he followed through thoughtfully and like clockwork. He is not only true to his word but he is extremely knowledgeable and competent about all aspects of electricity. He was really experienced and helpful with all the permit details and patiently dealt with all the time-consuming requirements with scheduling and rescheduling with the inspector.

Since then Don and his crew have worked on our other property as well, even though it was pretty far for him. His pricing is very fair and he even transferred the savings to us whenever he is able to get materials, such as recessed lights, at bulk cost.
All in all we are VERY glad that we found West Hills electrical and would recommend him highly.
