They wanted to charge $800 to unclog a toilet! $400 to pull the toilet up and $400 to run a line. No thank you.
Shondrell B.I contacted village air the week of June 14th to take advantage of their $59 AC tune up special for the month of June. My appointment was scheduled for June 29th, I was not given a time and was told that I would receive a text when a technician would be on their way. I did receive a text late morning 06/29 stating that someone will be at my home between 1-5. While waiting I had a missed call and voicemail from village saying that they need to reschedule my appointment to July 13! I returned there call and the lady who answered the phone rescheduled my appointment to 06/30, which I was ok with. However I never received any type of communication from village about when I should expect a technician, and no one ever showed up. Oh I failed to mention that I paid $79 for the 1yr plan when I scheduled my appointment. I will be contacting them after posting this review to request a refund for services NOT provided. I'll keep you updated
IAH G.I went to Village as a second choice as my primary choice did not seem to want business.
They came twice, the first time the gentleman had a mask and shoe covers and did a diagnostic. He explained everything thoroughly and in an understandable manner for a layman like me. They had to order a piece, so unfortunately my a/c could not be fixed before the weekend. Two other people came back to install the coils the following week. They also wore masks but I had to remind them to wear shoe covers. They did the job but were overall less friendly than the first person who came. The gentleman who came the first time installed floaters , it was an upsell but he was not pushy and I had these in my previous home so accepted it.
Overall it came out short of $3k, my neighbor was astounded by the high price (he is a handy man) and told me I could have had it repaired for probably half the price.
So they are not cheap, but they did the job, on time, carefully.
I wanted to leave the stars neutral. But system would not allow.
The company called saying the technician was on his way. He should be there within 30-45 min. Try 62 and sat in his van for a while.
I was asked by the receptionist if a ladder was needed. I said ""no why?"" She said the technician was asking because he does not have a ladder
I did not know units were on roofs
I asked the technician and he said yeah they are on townhomes. I thought ""did you guys even remember where you were going?""
They do wear professional uniforms. Like a car sales man would wear.
As my son said ""they do not plan do get dirty or do a lot of work""
He inspected a.c.. I saw it was dirty
I told them I wanted the unit inspected and said I want coils cleaned since that is part if tune up.
The technician told me that we needed to leave the dirt on the coils because it is insulating the a.c.
He said he did not think add-on few in would help. So he suggested a new unit.
He said he has been in the business for years. He said this is not like a car.
So the dirt on the coils is helping the a.c. run.
So leave it on there
My adukt son is concerned if the technician did something else.
I tried my best to stick with the facts.
99 dollar special advertised is not real. 2 days for scheduling. When arrived, did not have tools to clear\clean drain. said my pipes are to old for their tools. They were aware from initial phone call, that the house was built in 50's. Told me that because of the pipes, it would be 480 dollars to clear the problem. I felt like the entire visit was a sales pitch. Sent him on the way, called a local who had my drains cleared with 2 hours for 110 dollars. Village is a joke. Be aware.
Jon B.I was stuck using this company bc of a leak from right near the main shut off valve at my house. They charged an expected amount for the repair ($670) but then added on ridiculous charges to make the whole job a total rip off. The said they had to charge a ""dig fee"" of $450 dollars to dig a 3x3 area maybe about 2 feet deep up to see the pipe. On top of that they determined a ""helper"" to dig this 3x3 area was needed and charged another $350 dollars for that! Also they make you get their ""maintenance plan"" by charging 99 dollars but ""discounting"" rest of job 10%. This was the 3rd company I called and since other 2 couldn't come and I needed the leak stopped sooner (wasn't hosing out but not a minor one either), they took well advantage of this in extortion job. The only plus side was the technician was a nice guy in general and he was not likely the final say in price determination. Watch out for these guys.
Nicky R.There estimate was 5 times what I ultimately paid for the same service
They act like they are-the client and you should jiss the ground they walk on
Village Plumbing did a great job, easy to make an appointment, timely, fair priced, and performed the services quickly. My plumber Jason was very professional and truly concerned about my needs as a customer. I highly recommend this company...
Customer service is good, I'll give them that. I called and a very nice lady answered the phone and scheduled a consultation for the same afternoon. The guy they sent over was also very nice, professional, and addressed all my concerns. Also, I wasn't charged a service fee for them coming out to give me an estimate.
I asked the technician to install some dampers on my ducts in the attic and to figure out why the upstairs was so warm. The technician suggested having an A/C return installed in a couple of upstairs bedrooms, adding some insulation to my attic, and installing an attic tent. Reasonable enough to increase efficiency, but then he sent me an estimate.
The reason for the low rating is because of the quote and lack of workmanship I recieved.
Almost $5000?!! No, thank you!
I called another company and they quoted me the exact same work (including recharging the exterior condensor and cleaning the coils) for less than $2000. I decided to go with the other company instead because their estimate was MUCH more thorough. It turns out my system HAS dampers and my attic has ADEQUATE nsulation.
Village Plumbing totally dropped the ball on this one... I don't think I will give them any more business in the future.
Extremely dissatisfied. Our toilet was not flushing so we called Village plumbing (as seen on TV) thinking we would get professional and expert help but that was not the case. Edwin ran a snake inside and out and stated all was good $99 special. Now we have to find a real plumbing company on Check a Pro. that can resolve our flushing problem. Don't waste your money.
