I was nervous since he hasn't had any new reviews since 2012. He took a over a week and a half to respond and then came and seemed very nice and knowledgeable and willing to discuss options and his verbal quote was well thought-out and we were set on him. Then came weeks of lack of communication (said would email written quote by Wednesday then didn't respond for 10 days), responding only after multiple texts and calls and emails always with an excuse (his email address was unreliable IT guy was bad, offshore job, emergency job, etc). It's been 3.5 weeks since we first contacted him. Waste of our time. Seems really flaky so we steered clear.

I had a very small job (~2 hrs) of adding a switch for some low voltage lighting in my kitchen.
Although he was very busy and dealing with an office emergency, Jason was able to help me out just 24 hours after our original appointment.
He's very friendly, trustworthy and has very reasonable rates.

I hired Jason last minute for some electrical work before a city inspection on a rental property I manage. I tried calling the other guys here on Yelp and needless to say, I didn't even get a return call. I was very, uber -duper- super appreciative that he was able to come out on such short notice. He was very professional and thorough and he really knew his stuff. He took the time to explain things, which I appreciated. His rate is very reasonable as well!

All in all, this is the guy you want for your electrical needs. I really couldn't recommend anyone better, and that's hard to say in a field that is saturated with your run-of-the-mill workers.

Like all of us, I was simply looking for someone reliable and preferably honest. Unfortunately, Jason didn't fit either. Although he is a very nice guy.

I needed an electrician to get my replaced pool light up to code and Jason was one of the first to respond. He looked over the proposed job and indicated he could do the work, without much hesitation. We agreed upon him starting the next week but he called the day before, late afternoon, to cancel..the portable light switch was 'not in stock' and he would call first thing in the morning with an update. Next morning.... NOTHING. Didn't hear back for another 2 days, by then I had secured another electrician.

Easiest way out of it was to simply explain he didn't have time for the job and maybe to recommend someone else? Again, just looking for reliability and honesty.

I just had Jason replace my old circuit breaker panel with a new improved one. Jason was easy to contact. He was professional and friendly. His price was on the low end of what I was told to expect. He did a thorough job fixing all the little details. When he finished the job, he gave me a discount because the job took less time that he had estimated. I really appreciated his honestly. Will use again.

After reading all these great reviews, I called JM. He has been so busy because of these reviews that I had to wait a month and a half (incl. my 2 wk vacation). I own apartments and am looking for a professional, reliable electrician. We talked about my long-term needs, expectations-communication is a big one!-and he sounded great.
The week before the appt. I called for clarification of fixtures I was going to buy. I specifically asked if I need T-8 or T-12s. The returned call said, ""It's JM @ phone #"". When I called back saying I have to buy the fixtures to have them for the appt., I got his VM. I called again, AND the morning he was to come. All the tenants had to park outside the garage for the day. He called after the appt time; I said I was disappointed and went over why. His response? Two ""wow""s and a ""sorry 'bout that."" He was clueless about his lack of responsibility. If he would have apologized and had a game plan, he would have won me over, but it was outside his thinking. I'm so disappointed.
I called Martinez elect. and Crazy John-both sound professional and adult.

Jason is so awesome. He came on time on a Saturday at 9am. I think it's actually outside his normal working hours, but he still showed up on time anyways. My repair was very simple, but I asked him about a lot of stuff that I wanted to do in the future. He is very knowledgeable, courteous, and most importantly honest. We had a long talk about brazilian jiu jitsu and working out after he was done with the repair. I don't think you can find a better electrician.
