My wife & I recently moved to a new place. Almost everything is great, except we had this pesky issue where one of the circuit breakers kept tripping and shutting electricity down to one of the rooms. Unfortunately that happened to be the room where my computer was plugged in, randomly *hard* shutting it down. Sad pandas.

I got introduced to Joe. He was quick to answer my initial text and was courteous & very friendly over both phone & text. He made time out of his day to stop by quickly to replace the breaker & the issue hasn't re-occurred since. It was a pleasure working with him and would call him again if any electrical issues arise.

No response to repeated voicemails or online quote request. I contacted Urban Engery (based on excellent reviews) on a Wed or Thur during posted business hours as I had just purchased a Bot EV and needed a 240v garage charger installed. I left a complete VM outlining my needs, my contact info etc. Repeated this the following Mon or Tue and also completed their online quote request form as the website indicated this could provide an even faster response. Two plus weeks later and nothing from them still - nada, zippo.

I can't speak to their work as I never got that fair but certianly to their customer service or lack there of - if they are too busy due to their work product, good for them, they have probably earned it. But a quick simple communication of any sort to just let me know they heard me - even a ""due to unexpected high volume"" auto reply would have been better than nothing - this is baseline customer service in my book. Needless to say, I won't be contacting them for any future electrical needs.

And I did get my charger installed by another electrician with great reviews on Yelp - Pauric Electric.

I just had my car charger installed by Fergal from Urban Energy. The reasons for 5 star rating:

1- The price is far better than everything else I have been quoted.
2- The punctuality, always on time. He let's you know if he is running 5 minutes behind.
3- He listened to my preferences. and provided me with different options.
4- He is licensed so when I asked for City Permit because of my HOA requirements, He had no problem doing that. (needless to mention other electricians once they heard about this requierement they either stopped responding or wanted to charge me just for the permit as much as these guys charged me for the whole job) CRAZY.

I love these guys and I would recommend them to anyone. They are great to work with and amazing all the way around. Made the experience painless and enjoyable.

We had 80% of our kitchen lighting MR16 fixtures give out and no longer accept new bulbs after 5 years of use. When looking for Electricians our landlord recommended his electrical contractor at Urban Energy. We contacted Fergal with Urban Energy who provided quick responses and initial self troubleshooting solutions before providing an estimate for what Urban Energy could do to solve the issue. I was able to speed up the labor time by sending pictures of the lighting fixtures to Urban Energy so that Fergal could arrive fully prepared to provide an LED retrofitting. Fergal performed the task under his initial time estimate and we now have a fully operational LED kitchen lighting system with dimmer.

Fergal had been very helpful in getting a box set up in my condo with a ceiling fan. So helpful, in fact, that I wanted to engage Urban Energy for a bigger project in my building. I emailed over 2 weeks ago to request a quote, and I never got a response. I followed up a week ago with a voice mail, but that has not been answered, either.

I know they do good work, so I won't give them two stars. But the silent treatment isn't exactly helpful.

I have used Urban Energy twice over the past year. One was to retro-fit 13 recessed lights from incandescent to LED fixtures and the second was to help us with some remodel work that required an electrical permit and a licensed electrician who could make sure all of our electrical work was done properly and up to code.

In both cases Urban Energy did an outstanding job. They are professional through and through, use good judgment and are reasonably priced. On both jobs, they showed up on time, were courteous, hard working and efficient. They did their work, made sure everything was working properly and left my apartment in a clean and orderly fashion.

Urban Energy did a very professional job installing new electrical in my garage for my new Tesla. My car came earlier than anticipated and Fergal was able to have Damien come out early Monday morning and get the job done well and promptly. It was quite exciting to plug the car in for the first time and have everyone working to my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend Urban Energy if you happen to buy an electric car or for other electrical needs.
