I would like to commend United Plumbing Heating Air & Electric, and especially the technician Wally B. He was very helpful. He installed new light fixture and recommended the kind of bulbs that I should use. He even suggested that the angle of the light should be redirected downwards so that light would not shine into my neighbor's window at night. I can't say enough good things about the quality of his work. The second job involved changing out a bathroom light/fan to the same switch. Again, excellent work and no mess! I might add that Wall has a great since of humor. If you use United Plumbing Heating Air and Elect ask for Wally, you won't be disappointed in the fair prices or quality of work.

I am very happy and pleased with United. Their technician Wally and work crew were very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Not only did they do a great job but they explained everything in plain English so I could follow. They also advised me on additional ways to protect my home and to save money by being more energy efficient. I would use their service again in a heart beat and I would recommend them to anyone. Plus they offer free estimates! Other businesses I called charges over $100 just to come out. It's a no brainer.

My husband and I wanted to get a couple of estimates to upgrade our electrical panel and have our electrical sockets and switches checked and replaced if needed.
The company we ended up going with was United Electrical Company. Within 2 hours of me calling them we had a electrician at our door.
Electrician, Wally Baho was wonderful. He looked over everything and gave us his professional opinion. He explained to us why he thought we needed to do the things we did. Him and his crew arrived on time the next morning and worked very hard to add a sub panel and replace all our electrical sockets etc
Wally is very professional, knowledgeable and great to work with.
We will definetly call Wally for any additional work we need in the future.
Thanks Wally

I had a problem with a outdoors light fixture that I had replaced because it kept going thru bulbs and wasn't bright enough (for me) to a brighter one. The guy who came to my door was rude and argumentative, the estimate was ridiculously high for the work I needed (of course that's my opinion and I am not a professional electrician). But when he asked who replaced my light fixture, I told him I called a handyman that I had used previously, he started getting defensive. ""well I'm a professional electrician, with the training and licensing....blah, blah, blah"" and I said that I'm not paying to make you rich, or to help pay for your schooling and licensing costs. He then gave a half a$$ed left handed apology for being argumentative. When the guy kept telling me I was dumbing down the whole situation and I finally told him to put his card back in his pocket because I don't need to make him rich and I wasn't going to let him do the work.

Great, prompt, courteous service but pricey. Suggest using for more complicated jobs.

United kept blowing me off for 3 days saying they would be at my house in 3 more hours. Don't even waste your time with these guys. If I could give them -5. I called a good AC PERSON. George Burtless professional air Conditioning and Heating Service. They arrived in 15 minutes, fixed it 10 minutes and charged a very honest price. This is an honest man. Look em up on Yelp.

Made two appointments and they never showed up. First visit they had the wrong phone number but never bothered knocking on the door. After calling and complaining politely about a no show they assured me they would show up the second time. After another no show I called up and my appointment wasn't even on file. My file also says that the guy did show up and looked at our AC and said they don't fix wall units ( we do NOT have a wall unit). DO NOT CALL. DO NOT HIRE. Their front desk is unorganized and their techs don't care.

Masters of the homerun ripoff. If, for instance, you just really want to replace a failing water heater, be prepared for a long dissertation from a silver-tongued slick sales dude about tankless being the future, and that gas water heaters will be obsolete in the next couple of years. When you tire of the sales schpiel and ask to get to the bottom line for a gas water heater, he inappropriately and disrespectfully starts with a $6500 quote for a tankless unit, then steps you thru stupid marketing packages named ""gold, ""silver,"" ""bronze,"" etc. The bottom line quote for replacing a 50 gal, 40K BTU gas water heater with an unfamiliar brand name, no model number and a mere 6 year warranty was $1350. From another independent plumber, I got a ""Rheem"" product (well-known name) with a 12 year warranty for under $800.

I had United come out to replace my smoke detectors. They were very professional and friendly. They even took care of some other issues with my ceiling fans for free. The alarms had been linked before, so that they would all go off at the same time which is important since we have 3 stories. When I noticed that they were no longer interconnected, I called United and they sent the same electricians out the next day to fix the problem. They were very nice about it and gave me a 2 year warranty.

I did not hire them. Called a plumber for a shut-off valve replacement, got a quote for $1000 which was almost 3 times higher than my other estimates. When I asked the tech why the price is so much higher he said they are a 'Service' company, so they do have overhead charges. Should have read the previous reviews before calling them:(
