I will be honest, I went into buying a home warranty with extremely low expectations. However, as someone that works in the insurance industry, I also understand that, unfortunately, many people do not understand their coverage. It doesn't help that contracts can be difficult to understand.
We have two home warranties, one on our home and one on our rental, American Home Shield 3x3 plan.
At our rental, a light switch stopped working. After consulting my contract and feeling reasonably confident my claim would be covered, I filed an online service request. The next morning I received a call from Carrie, who scheduled me for the following week. Carrie was down to business but definitely not rude.
Today, the day of service Jake arrived on time. He fixed the problem (bad switch), asked if there was anything else he could do, and went on his way. Friendly guy, professional attitude.
While I'm totally satisfied, here is some constructive feedback for areas that could potentially be improved:
-Shorten your appointment window. 4 hours is a long time for working folks to ""set aside"" in their schedules.
-Try to book appointments sooner. In this particular case, there really wasn't a rush but with other issues, having to wait an entire week for an appointment would feel excessive.

DO NOT let your Home Warranty company send this outfit out to your repair job. They are terrible. Poor service, lack of knowledge, and then make up stories to cover the terrible work. I have a 2 inch by 9 inch hole in my bathroom ceiling as proof of their ""work"". Call your warranty company and have them removed from your list, NOW!

This company was assigned to me by, like everyone, the home warranty company. Half of the electrical in my house isn't working and the lights go on and off at will. I told them that and they said they couldn't come until Thur or Fri (I called on a MONDAY) and they couldn't give me a time until the day before. I called Thursday late morning to see if they had a time narrowed down yet and nobody answered. I left a message and we played phone tag all afternoon. I called again this morning (now Friday) and not only was the receptionist rude, told me she didn't even know who I was, but that they had me on the schedule for NEXT WEEK. I told her there was no way I could wait that long, I have a house full of people (mind you it's been in the 100's) and my A/C is one of the things not working! I'm hot AND worried my house will burn down due to electrical short. When I told her this, she said ok I'll cancel your work order then and to call the warranty company and get someone else. I reported them to my warranty company, which is not the one name here several times, and they noted it. This woman is going to take down a whole company with her nasty attitude.

Jake came to my house yesterday via American Home warranty which is a rip off company. He said he was there to fix my ceiling fan? Which I never called for, what I called for was hvac unit and the warranty company sent Jake, he said the warranty company does this all the time. Well the warranty company told me that they have to charge me because he said I had a ceiling fan and that I made the mistake.
Turner won't return any calls. Both companies suck and Jake is not a man of his word

Jake came to my home referred from my Home Warranty Company( First American). I told him the issues that I was having. Breaker tripping, no power to bedrooms and bathroom. He stated he could fix my panel and that it did not need to be repaired. The panel was burnt as well as one of the main breakers and coming off the panel. His said all he needed to do was put a screw into the panel and clean the contact points (which were also charred). I told him that I was not comfortable with him doing that. I assured him that it would be ok if repairs were not done and that safety and not burning my house down was my main concern. I told him that all I really would like was his professional opinion about whether or not the panel needed to be replaced. He insisted that it would be fine. So he continued. Then after seeing that the main breaker was clearly burned he insisted this too could be fixed by cleaning it. I asked why he just doesn't replace the breaker. He insisted again that this would fix it. So he after "" cleaning it "" he inserts it back on the panel and immediately sparks start flying when he flips the breaker on. He looks at me and tells me he has to go to the store to get a new breaker. So he comes back and attaches the new breaker. I asked for an invoice before he left and he states he will email it. I notified a supervisor at First American of the unsafe, unprofessional repairs and Last I heard from my home warranty, Turner electric has yet to return multiple phone calls and an email request for the invoice.

Like many on here, we were referred by our home warranty. We have a bunch of outlets in the house that don't work properly. The electrician, Jake, was super nice... however he tested the outlets and said they all technically work so they won't fix them... they can't take a lot of use so we have to just ""see what we can get away with."" We paid $75 for absolutely nothing.
Fast forward a week, and one of the outlets he tested straight up does not work. Nothing turns on.
I called and left a message asking for him to come back out. I get a call shortly after and answer it ""Hello?""... the infamous receptionist DOESN'T EVEN SAY HI. First words out of her mouth were ""What's your address? Nothing comes up when I search your phone number.""
So. Rude.
Hopefully they actually fix something when they come out... next week.

Referred by my home warranty company. They were supposed to fix the breaker attached to the air conditioner at my rental. The work was not done the breaker still doesn't work. They were supposed to replace the main breaker, the breaker looks old and not replaced. Tried to get a hold of the company no response. Guess I should have read the Yelp reviews first

I was referred to this company by my home warranty. I was skeptical because I have had poor experiences with the companies Old Republic refers. I also read all the reviews and was really concerned. I will say that Carrie is a no-nonsense kind of receptionist...not rude, but to the point. That's okay, we don't need to be BFFs. Aaron was an exceptional electrician, very knowledgeable, and didn't seem to mind all my new homeowner questions. I will definitely use them in the future if needed.

I would highly recommend Turner Electric! Carrie the receptionist is great and I have found her to be helpful and friendly. Aaron and Josh have come out to our house several times over the past year for various issues, and they were always friendly and willing to give detailed explanations of what they were doing and why. Overall a great experience every time!

I see a ton of bad reviews but I had a great experience with Carrie and Aaron. I was referred by my home warranty (who doesn't usually refer great companies) but after getting in touch with them, which did take a while but that is partially my fault for being unavailable most mornings to take the call, Aaron came out within a couple days and fixed the problem. Gave me great advice on how to prevent it from happening again and showed me what to do if it happened again. I think next time I'd go straight through them instead of messing around with home warranty.
