I called Peter from True Power Electrical and explained what was happening. Josh came out at my requested time and changed some switches and explained why this was going on. I will be using them in the near future to replace some ceiling fans. The cost of service was very reasonable.

Got an acceptable estimate and they started the work. John did an awesome job with my wiring upgrades. He added an outlet to the garage storage and updated wiring for two light switches so that I could install timers for the bathroom vents. Would definitely recommend and will use them again.

They were prompt and figured out my simple electrical issue: my old control panel needs a hard push to activate its switches. Painful and expensive lesson. I'm giving 2 stars because for that it cost over $200 with tax. I understand paying for someone's time, it's $195 per hour. I just thought I would be charged for the ACTUAL AMOUNT OF TIME, which was a fraction of that. I was told this is how all electricians charge. I will say that this is not ethical or fair, but it's how many businesses make a good profit. I don't know if electricians are using Hawaiian Electric as their ethical gauge, because that would explain why they don't see any issue.
There are other companies on the island that don't behave this way, and I call it integrity and decency. -I just did NOT find that with this company.

Peter responded quickly and honestly about when and how our project could be completed. John did a thorough and fantastic job. I would definitely recommend hiring True Power and look forward to doing business with them again soon.

I had a light fixture replaced. Peter sent someone over right away and did an excellent job helping me on such short notice. They are prompt and professional. The light fixture looks great BTW. Highly recommended.

My phone call was very professional and helpful in detailing my problems. When John arrived, he introduced himself & started the project with the breaker box. Later, John cleaned up after his work, and informed me what was done, then answered all my questions. I wouldn't hesitate in calling them again for any electrical work because the project price was fair, and great workmanship.
