This was one of the few times that Yelp reviews were off. I'm in the process of some electrical renovations that included replacing lights in the front yard. It was simple work, almost plug-and-play, but I didn't have wire connectors (the plastic, less than $1 each, kind), did not have time to run to Home Depot, and was worried I may get stuck on something. As I didn't have a go-to electrician and none of my friends would recommend one, I wanted to try different ones on a project-by-project basis in the hope of finding one I could stick with. So, based on Yelp reviews, I called Thor Enterprises and then texted my address requesting a quote and to set up an appointment. The response was ""we're at your house"". 4 persons came, including Danny. He probed whether additional work was needed on other things (it does, but not on what he pointed out) and requested $240 to replace 6 lights. That was a 30-minute job for one person (makes it an hourly rate of ~$500). I was in the middle of a web meeting, felt somewhat awkward to say 'no' when 4 persons showed up (some left afterwards), and agreed. There is no credit-card payment option - check or cash only - another first I ever experienced other than showing up at will and asking for additional work to do. The next day, I set up an appointment with another company to replace 4 wall-mounted lights in front of the garage. It was a more difficult job and took almost 2 hours for a cost of $200 - almost 5 times cheaper just on time basis. I will not mention that company's name here but will do a corresponding review. I have a few more small projects and one major one left to do - will certainly not contact Thor Enterprises again and would not recommend that company.

I lost partial power to my home and noticed that some of my lights were flickering. Danny came out within an hour of me calling on a Sunday. He was professional, courteous and explained what was happening so that I could understand. He figured out that it was a problem with Centerpoint and he even helped me call them to make arrangements to restore my electricity. He also had other helpful suggestions regarding home maintenance. Unlike many others who were going to charge hundreds of dollars just to come out and assess, he was very fair and just asked for the price of gas. I will definitely use him for other projects I have in the future.

Danny the owner was AMAZING! I found this company randomly on a desperate search but I can't give enough stars for his kind and quick response! I called at 4pm and he asked questions to see where the problem probably was. He gave me an honest assessment of what he thought the issue might be, and had me call the power company first and even told me what they might charge or do. He gave me an assessment of how long it would take him to come out and then offered to come out if needed no matter how late! Love this guy! Appreciate such honesty and genuine service especially during this crazy covid time! Thank you Danny for your kindness!!

I sent out messages to several electricians and Danny Hixon was the only one that when I was asking for a ""free quote"" actually went into detail of why it couldn't be a free quote and gave me a thorough explanation of what it could be along with the way he priced his job. His price for fixing our outdoor outlets were very reasonable. He's very straight forward and if it's a easy fix, he'll fix it and won't tack on charges that aren't needed. I would highly recommend him and will be calling him if I'm needing anything his services again in the future. He fixed out outlets wiring in 10 minutes!!!

Danny was quick to response to my question on Yelp and gave me a quote. He was also quick to reply my call. He texted me his ETA around half an hour prior to arrive my place which was the time frame we agreed on. He was helpful and it only took him less than 10 mins to check the breaker box and fix my light switch issue. He is also very reasonable on his rate. He ended up only charged me for a service call for $75 which other companies I got quotes for diagnostic is around $125. Will definitely contact him again. Highly recommended!

As an electrical engineer myself, it's very rare that I need to call in electrical contractors. After some fairly extensive troubleshooting and attempting to resolve myself, I called in Thor. Jose was the electrician that showed up. Methodical, efficient, and very professional, he was able to find the root cause of my ongoing intermittent problem. Very satisfied customer. Highly recommend, and will gladly use again if needed.
