We hired Gerry to tackle our punch list of items. He was upfront about how he booked for the next two weeks. Lucky for us he was able to fit us in within 2 days of calling as he was working on project down the street from us.

He and his team were professional, knowledgeable and clean. He was even onsite the whole time his team was there. Huge plus in our book! It's nice to finally find a quality electrician.

Highly recommended and will hire again for any of our electrical issues in the future.

While I'm guessing that Gerry is a good electrician, I had some difficulty connecting with him. On my first contact, he left me a message asking ME to call him. No big deal. When I did, he seemed to have little sense of urgency about setting an appointment to come to my house. It was left a little wishy-washy, as to what day he might contact me again. I sent him a message, via Yelp, with a recap of the discussion and address/contact details. I did not hear back from him, so I texted him this morning. He responded that he could not visit today, and would ""keep me posted,"" on his availability. That won't work for me. I'm traveling a lot on business and need to be very specific on times.

I called Thislte last night with a residential electrical issues. Gerry replied right away and we set up a meeting for today. He and his crew came over, found a lurking issue which he fixed, and identified the main issue. The problem was outside in the main line, an Edison issue. Gerry told me who to call and what to say. Edison surprisingly came by within a few hours and fixed the corroded part. All done, inexpensively and quickly. Thx!

OUTSTANDING AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I had a fairly large electrical job for my home remodel. It came down to two licensed electricians, and I'm glad I chose Gerry, the owner of Thistle Electric. Gerry personally spent a lot of time with me even before I signed a contract. He performed two thorough walk-throughs and gave me a lot of great ideas and suggestions that I accepted. The job included recessed lighting throughout the entire house, ceiling fans, wiring for a chandelier, wiring for pendant lights, hanging lights and a chandelier, switches, bathroom exhaust fans, a hard wired smoke detector/fire alarm system and running speaker wires throughout my entire house. There were a number of other small items as well, in addition to other issues he ran across during the project. Gerry always clearly explained what he found and what he recommended. He discounted additional work and went above-and-beyond in every aspect.

Gerry and his team had to make an enormous number of holes in my ceilings in order to run the wiring for the recessed lighting, ceiling fans and smoke detectors, since there is no attic crawl space. Yet another thing I liked about Gerry's proposal is that he would patch the holes at the end of the job and before he left. Most electricians want nothing to do with patching holes, but Gerry said he would do it. This is something that other electricians did not offer. The painters that came in behind him commented on how high quality his patching was, and how it saved them a lot of time--and saved me money I would have had to pay a painter.

Each day, Gerry and his crew took great care in their preparation and cleaning up after themselves. He was there every weekday and completed all he could in the first two weeks. Then, he came back intermittently until everything was done. It was an enormous amount of work, and although I had doubts about everything turning out as I envisioned, Gerry assured me that everything would be done, work and look great in the end. He was absolutely correct! Now that everything is done and my house is back together, everything looks fantastic, works perfectly, and I am so happy and pleased with the work and outcome.

Gerry and his crew are knowledgeable, friendly, dependable and clean. They take great pride in doing high quality work and ensuring everything is done to code and the right way the first time. It's fair to say Gerry is meticulous, which is just what I wanted and needed. Not to mention that you don't want to take shortcuts with electrical work. The risk and possible consequences are obvious and should not be taken lightly. I could tell from day one that Gerry knew what he was doing and would do it right, safely and to code.

Gerry, the owner of Thistle Electric, is an outstanding electrician, a good businessman, highly ethical and a very nice guy. He was always available to answer my questions, and we had numerous conversations during the course of the job, in person and by phone (if I as at work), to ensure we were on the same page and that I understood everything that was occurring with the project. I would highly recommend Gerry and Thistle Electric, and I intend to use them in the future for all of my electrical needs.

Gerry and his team were great to work with, very knowledge, friendly and dependable. Gerry was our last quote for the project and the only one that quoted code book and pick up on a code violation that saved us heart ache. He was very easy to work with and priority was to provide us with quality work. The inspection went quickly and passed with flying colors. Gerry and his team are amazing, professional, fast and most importantly...efficient. I had Gerry install recessed lighting in my living room and kitchen and he gave me a great recommendation to invest in LEDs. This was a great recommendation!!! The lighting is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I love how detailed Gerry was and how meticulous he was with measuring out each light so it was balanced and even. I already have set up my next appointment with Gerry. He's amazing and reasonable!!!

Gerry was very professional and was gracious enough to fit us into his schedule when he had an opening last minute. He and his crew were knowledgeable and informed me every step of the way as they worked efficiently. They took the care to vacuum and sweep up afterwards.

We read his reviews and hired him and we are so thankful we did. He was the third electrician we spoke to about what was needed in our garage and we felt the most comfortable with Thistle Electric. Jerry the owner was very knowledgable and kept safety a number one priority. He rewired our garage to provide more outlets and power, brought everything up to code and installed a ceiling fan and two ceiling lights. He and his workers went above and beyond to hide wires, puddy holes where needed, and even cleaned up after themselves with a broom and mop. Wearing booties throughout the job, the workers respected our home and did a fantastic and extremely professional job. His prices are fair and Jerry (Thistle Electric) is the kind of guy and company you want to give business to. Hire this company and you can't wrong!
