I contacted Thistle Electric to get an estimate on job that turns out to be more complicated. I'm trying to add a high amp circuit to a panel that would be overloaded. I'm giving Thistle a high review because he called me back to explain in detail the issue and spent the time to explain some alternatives. This is in contrast to several other electricians I called that basically said my request couldn't be done but didn't offer any alternatives.

I wanted to give a shout out to Gerry and his team at Thistle Electric. I needed to have a 240V outlet installed in my garage for my families new Tesla. I called four different places that were recommended on the Tesla website. One place never called me back after l left a voicemail and two of them said that I should purchase the Tesla wall connector which would have added hundreds of dollars in additional expenses. Finally I called Thistle Electric and spoke with Gerry. After showing him pictures and letting him know my requirements he came up with the proper load calculations even though my existing box was completely maxed out. He made some adjustments within the box and housed all the wiring behind the drywall. They patched up the drywall and a few hours later I had my 240V outlet. Finally, Gerry walked me through with next steps with the city inspector. Thank you very much Gerry and Thistle Electric!

It is rare to have someone who comes when they say they are coming, on time to the minute, and leave your house looking as clean as it was before. This makes Thistle a pleasure to work with. Gerry and his crew do a professional job and are very honest. They installed recessed lighting throughout my whole house, installed ceiling fans, and made sure everything was up to code. It looks amazing. The price was very reasonable.

Thistle recently installed an upgraded outlet in my garage for my anticipated new Tesla. ;-) Gerry came to my place and told me what kind of outlet could safely be installed, and also that I needed some upgraded breakers, and amps for the installment. He helped me obtain the proper permit and when I had the inspection, he even came back to meet the inspector to answer any questions about the installment. All extremely helpful to me since I know next to nothing about electrical issues!! I just knew I wanted it to be a legal and safe installation. I feel very confident in knowing that I have just what I need to charge my new EV when I bring it home! Thanks Thistle!

Gerry gave me a very fair estimate for a service panel upgrade to a 200 amp panel from my original 100 amp panel. The reviews I've read are on point. He and his crew showed up on time and actually worked into the night due to some issues they ran into with the way the previous panel was installed. They were able to fix the issues and finish the box install that same day. They only needed to finish grounding the box the next morning and tagging the breakers, so now I know which breaker works each area of the house. They cleaned up before leaving. He is very detail oriented and took care of the permitting process without any issues. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants quality and professional service.
