They were great from start to finish. When they came in to do the estimation for our project (CAT-6 cables and extra power outlets), the guy did detailed measuring and really tried to see how the wires would go through the wall. Not only that, but he made the effort to help me understand all that the project would entail, how many holes would be made, and what the challenges would be, which I really appreciated, as it not only gave me a much better understanding of what it would entail, but it would also gave me a lot of confidence that they could get it done, which was well founded.

The actual work started, and the professionals were awesome; they were professional, kind, and really seemed to care about their work. They took precautions with laying out plastic mats everywhere to keep the mess from drilling and cutting to a minimum, and we ended up with not much to clean up afterwards. It was also a nice touch taping up the holes between the two days of work so we didn't have gaps in our walls for the night!

The end result was also great! Everything works perfectly, and the patching work is fantastic; better than I expected! They were methodical in the holes they cut and they ended up needing to cut less than expected (they said there was some luck involved with how the house was built, which is bonus integrity points as far as I'm concerned). There was great transparency and patience shown on their part.

Very happy with this company, and will definitely have them in mind next time I need any sort of wiring or electrical work in the future.

Had 13x 6"" canless recessed lights installed in 2 bedrooms and the living room of a 2nd floor condo in a 3 floor building. Clean cuts in the sheetrock and they also installed 4 dimmable switches for me. Some sheetrock dust leftover but that's to be expected with this kind of job. Overall great work

We'd had a few recessed lights that had gone out out, where a wiring issue needed repair. Dinh was very responsive and sent an electrician to us in a couple of days. The electrician immediately saw and understood what the problem was and completed repairing the lights in a timely manner. He was very skilled and was conscious in cleaning the work areas after the repairs were done. The invoice was sent promptly, so we didn't hesitate in paying for the service. Great communication and professionalism - I highly, highly recommend them!

So a little different from my usual review because, well, they don't serve food, but I'll try to keep it concise.

Task: Upgrade main panel (Federal Pacific), replace subpanel, and other small electronics.

I requested quotes from several different places in October and decided to go with TD West because I just felt I trusted them the most and they gave me a competitive price. Weren't the cheapest, but definitely very competitive.

Dinh was very communicative for the most part. Every person that come to my house was very courteous wearing booties and a mask so thumbs up on that.

Initially, the original estimate of when the project would be done was about 1-2 months, but it ended up being longer than that, but that's okay because we weren't in a huge hurry to switch over. So a slight inconvenience but didn't disrupt our day to day lives.

First 2 days, 2 guys came out and started setting a ton of things up and started switching out the old subpanel and setting things up for the new panel.

Next time, a single guy came out and finished patching and finishing up the subpanel.

Next time, city inspection. This process was a bit long because it was nearing the holidays.

The next step was to get PG&E to come and switch over to the new Main Panel. This was done with no real issues.

Last step is, we just need to get the final building inspection and we're all set to go!

Overall, very happy. I wished there was a little more communication on what time everything was going to happen. We over-shot our initial estimated time to completion by about 3 months. Luckily that didn't affect us, but that may or may not have been in part due to permitting etc. Outside of that, I really appreciate everything that they have done and how they always answered my questions I had when they were doing the install.

I would recommend them but also warn them that it may take longer than the original estimate. Even though it did take longer than expected, the original price quoted is what they are charging me so I'm very happy with that. If I have other electrical needs, will most likely be calling them again.

We wanted to change our old electrical panel and rewire our electrical wiring. We settled for the electrical panel and put a hold on the rewiring due to COViD protocol Dinh came to my house and checked what we needed. He submitted a quote and we're satisfied with the price. Once we set up a date for the job, Dinh texted me and assured us that the job will be done And his electrician is safe and fully boosted. His electrician came and did the job in one day. He covered the place with a plastic tarp and cleaned the place once done. Dinh came over during the day and checked the work and mentioned to me that the old house don't have a ground wire from the main panel to an electrical panel. He recommended and I was obliged to add the wiring at a minimal addition to the cost.
The panel I have installed has additional circuit breakers and can add if I wanted to upgrade my electrical wiring.
The job needs a permit and Dinh made an arrangement to file. Dinh said that they will be present once the inspection is set. Dinh hasn't responded yet on when the inspection will be done. I will be awaiting this process and expecting this to be done in order.
We still have additional work to be done inside the house. Once we feel it's safe for his electrician to do work inside the house, we will proceed and complete this work.
I gave him 5 stars because I think he works professionally and follows up on his work.

Thank you TD West Electric and Team for being so flexible in accommodating me with the install of my EV charger. The install was painless and professional. The entire process was smooth and with no up selling. Others I have contacted wanted to have a site visit before giving me a quote. Communicated with order from the get go, sent pix of my breakers and panels, gave me the price, and we were good to go.

Highly recommended and will use again for other future needs.

Really glad I found a reliable and professional electrician in TD West. They were very prompt on my inquiries to install a 220V line in my garage for my EV charger. Dinh came by for a site visit and gave me a competitive bid. Within one business day his technician came out and performed the task that was needed. He also cleaned up and was respectful of the items in the garage. Definitely would reach out again for any future needs.

Update: they got back to us and made their error right. They ended up not charging us for the fix of the sump pump. I appreciate them considering the situation fully and rethinking the charge. In the future I hope they're more transparent about these situations.

The work itself from this company is fine. We got out entire electric redone by this company and overall it's fine. We have had some issues with workers making mistakes, putting holes through our floor unnecessarily, and breaking some of our kitchenware while doing work. Ultimately the reason for the low rating is the lack of transparency. While having the electric redone, our sump pump was disconnected and the outlet for it was removed, without our knowledge. We were never informed and during the winter rains our basement flooded multiple times. When we asked this company to fix this issue, they charged us because they claimed it was not part of the original contract. Even if this was true, it would be prudent to highlight that when discussing the work, considering the risk of flooding. Overall would not recommend this company for large scale projects.

3 light switches and the outlet for my living room TV mysteriously stopped working in my home on a Monday, with nothing obviously wrong with the breaker. I found TD West via their good reviews and reached out asking for someone to come figure out what was wrong. Dinh responded quickly and offered to come out the next day. When he got here he was friendly and got along great with my pets, and quickly went about trying to figure out what was going on. He explained everything he was checking for and we also discussed electrical work I had planned for the future and what he'd recommend.
In all he spent about an hour here opening up outlets and switches, checking wiring, and testing grounding. Eventually he found the solution, a loose wire, and he easily fixed it.
He even tried to not charge me because he had not told me that him coming out could result in a bill, which I thought was very thoughful and considerate of him but after I insisted his bill was incredibly reasonable for an hour's worth of exploratory work. I really look forward to working with TD West for the electric work I have planned!

Quite responsive on yelp and we quickly settle a time. Guy come on time and finish work pretty quick. I was looking for install a whole Ev charging system. Guy come and find out the wires are ready and only need install outlets. He's very honest and also charge me a less price for just the outlet work. I would recommend this enterprise. Definitely!
