I am so thankful for this company and for finally having heat after freezing for a month! It was really hard getting contractors to come out for estimates on a new heating system. We needed all new ductwork and a furnace which had been destroyed by rats. Long story short, bought a house, wasn't told about the heating issues, turned on the heat and not only did it not work properly, but we all were sick with allergies for weeks. It makes me sick to think of the water, nest and nasty yuck that we breathed in for a month. I tried to call so many heating companies and no one answered their phone. Finally, a different hvac company came out to see what the issue was and lo and behold, the fun started.

That being said, even that company took weeks to try to get an estimate done for a new system and still had issues following up. I had a few other companies come out for quotes and then I called Sun Air. Peter came out the next day, saw the issue, got us a quote by email super fast even though he was also booked with other clients. I did my homework and read online that the cheapest HVAC quote is not always the best. What makes a good furnace is how well it was installed. I believe that now. I had no idea how involved the issue would be.

This was a week before Thanksgiving and Peter squeezed us in the next Monday. The team was super helpful and they gave me great advice in dealing with another incompetent (read my review) pest control company and tried to keep my spirits up. When you haven't had heat for weeks, it is wet in cold in Boulder Creek, your toddler is sick with the sniffles and you just got ripped off by another company you need all the encouragement you can get. Everyone was so friendly.

It is now the week after Thanksgiving and we have heat. An entire new system. They didn't just throw it in, they were artists! I have never looked at a heat duct and thought WOW! That is beautiful! They tried to help repair a damaged water heater pipe that we didn't know was damaged (thank you again home inspector). We have heat, rat proof aluminum flex duct work and an energy star Bryant furance. If you are going to replace an entire heating system do it right. Don't try and jenk something together with piano wire (oh it had been done on my system). If you need heating installation, get a few quotes and then come back to Sun Air. It is more than the price, it is your health and happiness.

I am really grateful for these guys and hate to see them go although it is nice to have quiet again. My son loves them and that means a lot. They are welcome back anytime for pie!

We really enjoyed working with our HVAC contractors, Peter and his father-in-law, when we needed heating and air conditioning ductless mini-splits installed throughout the house in the Los Gatos. They were timely, very responsive to texts, emails and phone calls, and a very fair priced. We wanted to have the outdoor wall piping to look like downspouts, and Peter happily created a wall-mounted piece that gave the affect we wanted. Also, we had some additional requests because we wanted our system to be permitted, so they came back and added our requested changes the next morning. My hubby is a tech nerd, so I think he would have liked to hear more about the mobile or unique features of other Fujitsu models, but otherwise we are very happy with SunAir's quality work and the quiet, energy efficient wall-mounts and sleek outdoor compressor they installed.

A very competent guy and very capable. Gentle on my house too. Showed up on time and left without a mess. Gracious and offered support for future needs. I usually don't write Yelp reviews, but Peter saved the whole family with his quick air conditioning repair during this intense heat wave. We called almost 15 different air conditioner repair contractors for our HVAC, and the soonest someone could come out was two weeks until we reached Peter. Peter came two hours after our phone call, quickly diagnosed what was wrong with our air conditioner, and fixed the issue! Talk about great care and great professionalism!! Peter the HVAC Contractor and owner of SUN AIR can't be beat. I'm a property manager and have dealt with many a service professional, but none as wonderful as Peter from SUN AIR. He called me with in an hour of my message and came out the same day to take care of the AC problem. He was prompt and knowledge and went the extra mile in checking all aspects of the air flow in the house. He made suggestions about air filters and would have checked the duct work if the crawl space had been accessible. (Did I mention it was 105 degrees out) After spending about 45 minutes with us and taking care of the horrible noise the AC unit was making, he didnt charge us anything for his time and trouble!!! I must say that I will be calling only Peter Cross of SUN AIR for all my HVAC Repairs. If you want someone who takes their time to do a great job and who cares about customer satisfaction then Peter is the man. Would recommend him to anyone.

Peter was on-site within the hour to assess the needs to repair the heater in the community/rec room & office building for an apartment complex I was temping at.  The heater hadn't worked in a year and it was freezing!  He quickly identified the issue and began to work on a solution / estimate.

I appreciate his genuinely kind manner and promptness to attend to our needs quickly at a time when, due to the cold weather and demand, most other companies were booking weeks out.
