Sumter Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) serves as a local electric cooperative delivering cost-effective along with dependable power to in excess of twenty-one thousand houses, enterprises, ranches, including learning centers. Operating on a not-for-profit basis, the members we serve lead and are part of the community throughout all or parts of Chattahoochee, Dougherty, Lee, Marion, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, and Webster counties.

Our services include budget-friendly as well as consistent electric service, along with energy assessments for our members. Moreover, we promote educational programs and development initiatives for our members, such as Operation Round-Up, the Washington Youth Tour, the Walter Harrison Scholarship, along with the Youth Leadership Conference by the Georgia Cooperative Council.
