Company Overview

Sumter Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) serves as a local electric cooperative offering affordable plus reliable power to in excess of twenty-one thousand houses, companies, ranches, including learning centers. Working on a not-for-profit basis, the members we serve lead and constitute the community in different areas in Chattahoochee, Dougherty, Lee, Marion, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, and Webster counties.

We provide affordable and consistent electric service, along with energy audits for our members. Furthermore, we support educational programs and development initiatives for our clients, which include the Operation Round-Up program, Washington Youth Tour, the Walter Harrison Scholarship, plus the Youth Leadership Conference organized by the Georgia Cooperative Council.
