Sumter Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) is a community-driven electric cooperative providing budget-friendly along with reliable power to more than 21,000 houses, businesses, agricultural operations, as well as learning centers. Functioning without profit motives, the members we serve lead and constitute the community throughout all or parts of the counties of Chattahoochee, Dougherty, Lee, Marion, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, and Webster.

We offer affordable as well as consistent power supply, plus energy audits for our customers. Moreover, we support educational programs as well as development initiatives for our clients, which include the Operation Round-Up program, Washington Youth Tour, the Walter Harrison Scholarship, along with the Youth Leadership Conference by the Georgia Cooperative Council.
