Sumter Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) serves as a local electric cooperative delivering cost-effective and dependable electricity to over 21,000+ houses, companies, agricultural operations, and educational institutions. Operating on a not-for-profit basis, the members we serve lead and constitute the community in different areas in the regions including Chattahoochee, Dougherty, Lee, Marion, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, and Webster.

Our services include budget-friendly as well as consistent power supply, plus energy assessments for our customers. Additionally, we promote training opportunities and leadership programs for our members, including Operation Round-Up, the Washington Youth Tour, Walter Harrison Scholarship, along with the Youth Leadership Conference by the Georgia Cooperative Council.
