Sumter Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) serves as a local electric cooperative offering affordable and dependable power to in excess of 21,000+ residences, enterprises, ranches, and educational institutions. Functioning as a non-profit entity, the members we serve lead and constitute our local community throughout all or parts of the counties of Chattahoochee, Dougherty, Lee, Marion, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, and Webster.

We provide cost-effective plus dependable energy solutions, plus energy audits for our members. Moreover, we support educational programs plus leadership opportunities for our clients, including Operation Round-Up, the Youth Tour to Washington, the Harrison Scholarship, along with the Youth Leadership Conference by the Georgia Cooperative Council.
