Sumter Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) serves as a local electric cooperative delivering budget-friendly plus dependable power to over 21,000+ houses, businesses, ranches, and educational institutions. Working without profit motives, Sumter EMC is governed by and constitute the community in all or parts of the regions including Chattahoochee, Dougherty, Lee, Marion, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, and Webster.

We provide affordable plus dependable energy solutions, in addition to energy assessments for our customers. Additionally, we support training opportunities as well as leadership opportunities for our clients, which include the Operation Round-Up program, Washington Youth Tour, the Harrison Scholarship, along with the Youth Leadership Conference organized by the Georgia Cooperative Council.
