I called a couple of home charging plug installers from the Tesla website, Peter was one of them. One company quoted me thousands of dollars ($2400 if I recall) to run 70 feet of ugly conduit from my panel to my garage and install the charger. Peter took the time on the phone to break down what my expected costs should be item by item. (including parts which he estimated to be $20 so I knew he was not one of those quote with huge margins kind of invoice-padders...) I felt he was an honest person who knew his trade and would be thorough and detail oriented. He did not give the impression that if you can afford a new car then you can afford to hand out cash freely to any passerby.

When he arrived he was very knowledgeable and spent real time in my panel investigating my situation. (My house is older and I was worried how many amps my wiring could safely pull, as we were also installing solar so we had some unknowns to mix in)

So after thoroughly investigating my panel and explaining to me some options, he then examined my garage. And upon testing the current, low and behold wouldn't you know he called my attention to the fact that I already was set up for an adequate outlet which was not being used...! I would most definitely hire him again and you should too, assuming you are in the market for an honest and hard working technician who is highly qualified and behaves as if you deserve the kind of service he would provide for his own family members. But if you'd rather have the contact info for the guy who wanted to charge me the $2,400 to get the same result, just message me...

Just like many recent reviewers, we saw Peter recommended on Nextdoor. My neighbors had nothing but good things to say so we thought we'd give Steglitz Power a try, and we're so glad we did. Scheduling an appointment was a breeze, communication was on point, and price was very fair. Peter seems like a super honest guy, and was more than happy to share his knowledge with us. My wife and I are electrical noobs but feel a bit smarter after Peter's visit! Best of all, he is practical and honest... he didn't try to push any services that we didn't need. Peter has won us over and will be our go-to electrician going forward.

What a great find! Peter Steglitz is super! I found him on a neighborhood app as a recommendation. He had great reviews. I contacted him through his website, and he answered very quickly. I needed all of the outlets in my kitchen swapped out, including a gfci outlet. He came quickly, and Peter was very efficient in changing our outlets. He has very competitive pricing, is licensed, and knew what he was doing. I'll certainly call him again!

I own an older condo with lots of issues. One of which was the ongoing issue of random power outage.

After it was finally diagnosed that my breaker box as a whole needed to be replaced, I searched several quotes before settling on Peter. I end up hiring him not because he was the cheapest, but it was because he showed up when he said he would, he seemed friendly, and he seemed detailed orientated when he came out for inspection (at no charge).
Turns out, he is personalable and professional, reliable, and took the time to do the job right. At his first visit, he had provided a quote for the job, but once the job started, he ran into several issues, which extended this job several more hours than expected.
When the job ended, he did not charge more for all the troubles he encountered.
As an added bonus, he is clean and cleans up after he is done with the job! Due to the 'issue' he encountered, he had to cut into the drywall and cut wooden beams...but by the time he's done, all of the dust was gone!
I would hire him again for next job and highly recommend him.

Based on a Nextdoor app recommendation I called Peter from Steglitz Power for electrical help. He came the same day and gave us a diagnosis and an apt in 2 days to do the work. My husband went to Home Depot and bought the needed parts, Peter put them in and charged us a very fair price. He is very likable and responsible, he lets you know if he is running late from a previous job so you don't have to guess when he'll be at your job. We will definitely use him again!

Peter helped us with installing a 220v plug for our EV car. He is very professional, honest & delivered exactly what he promised. We received quotes from other electrical companies, but we choose Peter because when we asked about permits, he was honest with us. The other electricians wanted to cut corners & told us we didn't need one. Getting the permit took a while because of the city & all its red-tape, but Peter stayed on track to get us what we need for inspection & kept us updated the whole time. He could have easily just ran off & never followed through since we already paid him for the job, but he didn't because he is an honest man. We will definitely use him again for any other electrical projects we have. Thanks Peter!
