Jerry was very responsive, affordable, and knowledgeable. A couple months after he completed work at my place, I ran into an electrical issue (which had nothing to do with the work he had previously done for me) that I needed some help with. I called Jerry asking if he'd be willing to give me some advice, or take on another small job. Without hesitation, Jerry took the time to guide me through my problem, and didn't even ask for a penny. My friend who lives in San Francisco needed some electrical work done at his condo in the Ilikai Apt Bldg. More specifically, some of the breakers were double tapped.

I called Sparky and Sons, Jerry the owner answered and was able to get out to the unit the very next morning and performed the repairs.

Jerry , who has worked as a licensed electrician for over 30 years, arrived early, was super friendly and finished the job within 30 minutes.

This is my second review for Sparky and Sons and still my go to. The job was to wire the boiler room for an electric water heater. I decided to switch from propane water heater to electric. Jerry had to add wiring and metal flex to the heater and change my breaker panel to 30 amp. He also added molding over wire for a clean installation appearance.

My grandfather was a small business owner and he used to tell my dad (who then told me) that ""top quality work is long remembered after price is forgotten."" So if you want top notch quality work with a fair and equitable price then Sparky and Sons should be your electrician from beginning to end.

I think I would have been able to give them a 5 star review, if I had been able to get the work done. My breaker had sparked, smoked and blew a panel and we were without lights and most of the places I called were giving me 1-2 week wait times. Jerry told me he would be out that day to look at it and come first thing the next day to do the job and his price was super reasonable as well. He seems like a really kind and personable guy.
He came to my condo, checked out the situation, and didn't mention that he would need me to prepare or do anything on my end, I assumed all was well. He showed up in the morning and told me he would need to go turn off the power, but to hold off on calling the manager because he wanted to just go and try it himself without dealing with the manager.
As the manager explained to me later, our building has a submeter and any tampering he is notified immediately. So of course, the manager came out and asked him what he was doing. Now I don't know for sure what words were exchanged but Jerry almost immediately gathered his things and left the building. The manager then explained to me about the system and I explained that I was not intending to mess with the sub meter, I needed the repair for a hazardous situation with the breaker almost catching on fire, and the manager called the submeter contractor to ask their permission and procedure to do the repair but Jerry was already gone.
Again there is fault on all sides in this situation, but if Jerry had taken what I think are standard precautions when working in a condo building (in hindsight I do wonder why he never even mentioned the possibility of getting permission/turning the buildings power off/etc) and if there was a little more time for rational explanation, instead of him just storming off suddenly leaving me without a way to get my lights back on, the day would have ended a lot more nicely for all of us. Now I am looking at a week or two living without lights at night.

Jerry had previously replaced a fluorescent light with a LED one. I needed to replace 2 additional lights and also install a ceiling fan. I called Jerry on a Friday and he was free and would come on Monday. Jerry & son was on time
and completed the job in 1 1/2 hr time. On completion of job they cleaned up the work area and took the discarded lights away. I would recommend him for his promptness and expertise.

These guys have been just awesome! Reliable, honest, knowledgeable, and reasonable in cost. These guys are my go to electricians when it comes to anything in my home or business. They work hard are efficient and timely in their services. I hesitate to share them with others only because they'll get busy maybe too busy! But I cannot resist giving them a shout out.
