Our kitchen light went out and needed the entire light replaced, not just a lightbulb. I called a couple of places and according to the photos I showed, that was the assessment. I work a lot and didn't have time (nor did I really care) about what kind of light fixture I got, and if it matched the decor or anything like that. I wanted to be able to see in the kitchen, because we cook a lot.

Two things stood out to me:
1) Sparky and Sons answered quickly and reliably
2) Sparky and Sons was the most convenient because they were willing to pick out a new light fixture and install it.

We made an appointment and Jerry did exactly as stated--reliable to the time; they even arrived earlier than expected! In addition, they quickly uninstalled and installed a new light fixture within 20 minutes. I would certainly call them again for any electricity issues and based on the couple of quotes I received, it's good value for the parts and labor involved.

One tip: Cash is better and easier than card.

Jerry did a very small job for us and it was super-easy to work with him, very fast to schedule and complete, everything you want when you need a job done. I don't agree with the negative comment posted, one star. My experience was very good and we will be using Jerry again.

I found a great buy on a countertop stove on Amazon and ordered it. While waiting for the arrival I got a few bids on installation from a small number of yelp top rated electricians. Jerry was the best bid. I was lucky he was available the day after the shipment arrived. He installed the replacement cooktop and also a replacement ceiling light in another room. Super efficient, super reasonable in price, and a great conversationalist as well!
Update (July 19, 2023) I had Jerry come again with his apprentice to install a new outlet for a new microwave oven. I had recently learned that ""built in"" microwaves now come with the standard plug, so the old wiring for the old built in microwave had to be replaced with an outlet. I also needed another outlet for the kitchen counter as we had been using an extension cord forever. (Have you ever noticed how short the cords for small appliances in the kitchen are? ) A four year old bathroom vanity light which didn't use bulbs died. Plus we decided one bedroom's lighting was too dim so we wanted a new fixture. All of this work was done efficiently and, in my opinion economically. (I did not solicit bids from any other company). They cleaned up all the wood chips, old screws, packing material for the new stuff, etc.

First, when a company appears to stack five stars for themselves, beware! They appear to have 5-6 individuals who post 5-star reviews under different names. Look closely at the profile pics. The pictures are the same, but the names are different. If they are willing to do this, what else are they willing to do. Lies about how good they are? Will they be honest on what service you need?

I called for a breaker issue, and Jerry answered. Rude and disrespectful. Just to come out to my home to look at the problem, he said it would cost $240 plus parts and materials. When I attempted to get more details, he rudely repeated himself. Rudely, he said, text him photos of the panel and breakers. By then, I had enough of his attitude and his disrespect.

After calling a couple of other electricians, I learned pricing ranged between $190-$200 for a service call, which would be applied to any work and parts required.

Sparky and Sons have no spark, not even a flicker. Please don't call them. There are plenty of qualified electricians who appreciate the calls they get and treat their potential customers with kindness and respect.

Jerry Giles is an excellent electrician. He installed a very tricky lamp over our dining room table, replacing one that had been there for 20 years. He did a fabulous job and is reliable and easy to work with! Reasonable prices as well! We highly recommend him.

I texted super late Friday Night and he was able to come out Saturday morning. It was a multi factorial problem and he fixed it quickly and efficiently for a good price. Was very nice as well. Couldn't have been happier. Saved my butt. Call/text him for sure if you need electrical work done.
