Sparky and sons was so quick to respond. We bought a new oven and realized upon delivery that the outlet needed to be replaced and re-wired before it can get plugged in. I was going to cook for my daughter's friends the next day and we needed someone to fix the problem ASAP. Jerry responded through text and was really honest about his quote and said they would come out first thing in the AM. His son Clayton came the next day. Clayton was super efficient, professional, and very nice. He also provided us with an invoice. If you're looking for a great electrician, use Sparky and Sons! They're honest, prices are reasonable, and they definitely get the job done!

Called Sparky & Sons to troubleshoot a breaker that kept tripping. Jerry did a great job troubleshooting the problem. He found a short between two specific points & was able to bypass the short without tearing walls apart to get the outlets & lights on the shorted circuit working again. Very fair price & Jerry will see the job through until everything is perfect. Highly recommend the company.

Our kitchen light was flickering and had some hissing/crackling sounds occasionally. I looked up on Yelp to find an electrician who could fix our problem light, and saw that Sparky & Sons had some pretty good ratings from other customers, so I went ahead and contacted the company.

After viewing a video I made of our problem, the owner Jerry said we probably needed to just change the light fixture. He said he would send his son, Clayton, to do the job. He asked if I wanted to choose the fixture as he usually gives the customer that option. However, since I was not familiar with light fixtures, I left the decision to them. He said they would find something that would work & look fine.

Prior to his arrival, I got a text message from Clayton that he had purchased the light fixture and was on his way. ( So nice to give us a heads up as to when he was coming!)

When Clayton arrived, he went to work quickly and before he even changed the light fixture, he decided to check/test the light switch since he said that could also be the problem. The light switch was fine, so he proceeded to replace our old fixture while testing the wire connections.

Clayton was pretty smart in determining what kind of screw to use that best fit our situation which was a canec ceiling. It's an older house, so canec was used when the house was first built. Canec material is like particle board and crumbles when drilled. To provide a more secure installation of the light fixture, Clayton chose to use a ""wing type"" screw that would secure better than a straight screw.

The type of light fixture that Clayton chose at Home Depot, was an LED type. Wow! It wasn't till I read the info on the box that I realized Clayton had made an awesome choice- it was guaranteed for 50,000 hours of continuous use or 45 years!!! Clayton explained that LED type of light lasts longer, runs cheaper and cooler. He saved me money from having to buy and change light bulbs all the time!

It didn't take Clayton long to finish the job and when I turned on the kitchen light, it was so nice & bright! My dad & I were pleased with the quick & efficient work that Clayton did. I told him I would recommend him to my friends who are also looking for good electricians and he gave me some business cards I could pass out to my friends. The total work charge for labor & materials was very reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to call Sparky & Sons again for any more electrical problems that could come up in the future! You won't be disappointed with the work nor the materials for servicing! Thanks, Clayton, for a job well done!

Great service and timely response. Jerry and his son took care of our ceiling light problems. Kept us updated of when he would arrive. They worked hard in the ceiling into the evening, whatever was needed. Second time using them and will use them again. Guys you can trust, easy to work with and experienced.

Simply said, I am very happy with the service I received from Sparky and Sons electrical. I have never met or heard of Jerry before and based my choice on Yelp reviews. Jerry promptly contacted me back when I left him a message, he came when he said he would, came ready to work, promptly did all I asked him to do, and even took my ceiling fan down and reassembled it when he realized it could have been set up closer to the ceiling as I wanted. Our new LED light fixtures look so good and work so well that my wife and I now want to change all of our fixtures out! And for the fair price that Jerry charged us, we can afford to do that. Thank you Jerry- we plan on setting up more jobs with you. Big Mahalo!

Another 5 Star review for this father son duo! I texted Jerry this morning because we had a fuse trip to our water heater. He got back to me promptly and said they could get us in that day! First of all, awesome! Most of the time, other companies can't get to you right away so knowing that we didn't have to wait long for assistance was the best...Clayton kept us informed on when he would be out and let us know when he was on his way. He arrived and quickly set to work on our fuse box. When he found the issue he got it fixed and even showed me what had gone wrong! Thank you Sparky and Son for getting to us so quickly! Not only do you guys give top notch service, your rates are awesome!! You guys have a customer for life!!

Jerry and Clayton do great work! We had an outlet that needed to be installed for our washing machine since we only had one for the dryer! I called them on Thursday and received communication right away! They were even able to set us up for an appointment just a few days after! I was thinking it would take weeks because let's me honest, everything in Hawai'i seems to take forever! Not with Sparky and Son! They got us set up right the same week!!Not only were they professional and easy to work with, they are very nice! Their rates are amazing as well! Will definitely be calling them again for future work! Thank you again, Sparky and Son!

Called several electricians. Only Jerry called back right away. Had me take some pics to make sure he had all the materials to relocate an electrical outlet and mount in the drywall so my range could go all the way to the wall. Showed up on time and very friendly and professional. Worked quickly and finished in 30 minutes. Then I decided I wanted the outlet location lowered even though he installed it where I originally wanted. No problem for Jerry. Made some adjustments and finished the job in a few minutes. Even patched the hole in the drywall left when I changed my mind. Very reasonable rates and came when it was convenient for me. Thanks Jerry! Highly recommended.

I would give Jerry 10 stars if it were possible! Our small business was written up by the Fire Department for some really unsafe things we had going on with the wiring, and I needed to find a good, reasonably priced electrician. I found just that in Jerry. He quickly found the main box was just as unsafe as all of the extension cords we were using. He accommodated our request to come in when our business was closed and in two days he removed the old panel, installed a new one, and put more sockets than I could have imagined. He truly listened when I explained what I needed. I can now plug in all of the equipment needed to run the business and have a few outlets to spare . Great guy and it didn't cost any where near as much as I feared it would. I highly recommend him and his son for all of your electrical needs!!
