First, Smart Charge America is the only company that respected my request to handle most things over email. I can't emphasize how much I appreciate this attention to detail.

Their bid process is great. I submitted photos to their site as to where I wanted everything installed, and they were able to provide a bid. This was particularly nice because it meant I didn't have to wait for someone to be scheduled, then wait again to hear what their bid was, and then finally schedule the work. I got a bid before anyone else in the area even returned my contact request.

Finally, they got the work done two weeks sooner than the next competitive offer. Since I am changing jobs and won't have much daytime flexibility in the very near future, this was a huge benefit for me.

The install team were very professional, and finished very quickly. I'm a happy customer with a happily charging Chevy Volt, and I would not hesitate to got through Smart Charge America again if my needs change in the future.

Amazing service , flexible scheduling and easy to work with . They encountered problems with our pre-wiring and Jason, Mike recommended several solutions and options. They had to put extra effort and extra parts due to structure of our home and yet; they never increased quoted price( it cost them over $300 for extra parts alone). Professional and Organized. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. I needed an outlet for my new EV and ended up using Smart Charge America. They were Tesla recommended in my area along with 4-5 other providers. After submitting for a quote, I received a reply within 24 hours and quote soon there after. They came in with the best quote along with being the most detailed with the process. Day of, our technician Cliff was right on time and installed the outlet in my garage exactly where I wanted it (even included a hook/brackets for my connector). After completion he explained everything and cleaned up any mess made...very professional. I would definitely recommend anyone installing charge ports/outlets for their EV's to use Smart Charge America.

Highly recommend! Nice professional folks! Electrician came and Installed over The Weekend within a few hours. Prior to that they answered all of my questions by phone and email and explained everything in layman's terms and was able to future proof the wires for when I upgrade to a Tesla. Better yet they handle all the rebates with Austin!

The representative called and explained the process in detail. The bid is very clear and includes extended warranty. The installer arrived on time and did a very thorough job.

Their installation was OK. They showed up with the wrong charger, didn't have the one we asked for, but only a more expensive one, and then made us pay the price for the more expensive one. Not a huge difference, so that's not really a big deal. The charger works fine. No real problems with it.
However, they will tell you that you are eligible for a federal rebate. This is a lie. They are lying. The vast majority of people who buy a charging station do not qualify for this rebate. They made it seem as though everyone was eligible, and they put it in the quote when they calculate the total (final) cost of the station to you.
Of course, you won't find out that you are not eligible until you sit down to do your taxes (note the date of this posting)...so by that time, what are you going to do??
