We recently had them install a Tesla wall charger in our garage and their company is one of the few in Austin listed specifically on the Tesla website. They were honest, professional and very efficient. Our car arrived earlier than planned and Mark was happy to move our appointment up to make sure it was ready by the time we brought the car back. They arrived on time, called 30 mins ahead and cleaned up any debris from their work area. We are happy we went with them and will highly recommend their work!

Smart Charge America recently installed a new 50A circuit for me with a NEMA 14-50 outlet. I was very happy with the work done, and all the communication and customer service provided. They provided me very detailed quotes for multiple options, called to answer any questions I had and discuss options, and also ease any concerns I had over my older panel.

I REALLY like their whole online bid process, and that everything was pretty well handled via email, unless I felt the need to talk to anyone. You start by filling out a very detailed form, uploading a lot of very specific pictures, as well as peak energy bills. From there, they put together multiple quotes, based off of your needs.

Gary (the Master Electrician who performed the actual installation), was very friendly, professional, and courteous. He also answered many questions I still had, and gave me a very detailed overview of the work he performed. Another plus is that all work done is covered by a 4 year no questions asked warranty.

All in all, I was very satisfied with the quality of work performed, the level of customer service and follow through, and the friendly and professional staff. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get setup with a new EV charging solution.

The installation was good, but getting it coordinated was way more work then it should have been. It took five weeks of multiple unreturned emails, missed appointments (i.e. they said, oh we'll come out and give you an estimate Friday at 10:30, so I arrange my day to be there and then nobody shows up) , and it took many emails and phone calls before it actually got done. So while the work was done well, and I am happy with the charger, I think that communication and people who coordinate the installation need to step it up to make this a more pleasant experience.

I called these guys twice in addition to submitting a request for quote on-line. Next day, I called and he said he was working on the quote. Then, I wrote him about the status of the quote. My first impression is that they need to work on their communication.

We ended up calling an Electrician and had our Charging Station installed the next day. Poor customer service.

Smart Charge America did a great job. I wanted to upgrade my panel from 100 to 200amps. They gave me timely estimates, coordinated everything, and there were no surprise cost or unexpected expenses. The work looks VERY professional and I would recommend them to anyone considering getting their EV charger installed at home. They clearly state their warranty, which is something I had a hard time getting from other electricians. Call them!! You will not be let down!

Very thorough installation. I got several bids that were almost 3 times the cost over Smart Charge. The Smart Charge installation has been in place for a month and no issues. The installer Robert was really good and had to navigate tight corners in our attic for wiring. Really pleased with the quality and great to have power to charge our two Teslas. I highly recommend them.

I should've written this review in 2016 when we originally had our EV charger installed, but recent events forced my hand.

After about 15 months of working perfectly, the charger started acting wonky, which is now a technical term when referring to EVs. I contacted SCA, and they took care of the problem in record time with amazing customer service. I mean, honestly, it was far more than I realistically expected. And for the second time, at that.

I cannot recommend SCA enough.
