I have nothing but the highest regard for Sid. He returned my phone call last night at 3:00am to help me with a screaming smoke alarm -- or what I thought was a screaming smoke alarm. It's a long story -- too embarrassing to recount -- but no fault of Sid's. He stuck with me on the phone through the whole ordeal until the problem was solved and sleep restored. Thanks so much, Sid. You're exceptional!

I have since used Sid & Co. for my business upgrades. What we first though to be a simple upgrade of a few lights, switches and outlets turn out to be much more involved as the previous somehow approved work was clearly not done correctly. 2/3 of these approved ""upgrades"" were still running on knob 'n tubes = there was a good deal of extra work to be done before this work could be approved. They took it in stride and delivered. Yes, there was extra cost due to the extend of the extra work, but that was only fair for knowing that everything is working and up to code.

Called Sid on a Sunday, over a three day weekend and he was at my house within 30 minutes. Fixed my problem, explaining everything in layman terms and was very patient. Highly recommend!

Stellar work by Sid and his team, Andres and Adam. These guys are honest and clearly have high integrity. They're also thorough. They corrected multiple problems in our splices, wiring and panel. Andres also went under our house to correct electrical problems in the crawl space.

Sid told us a bit about growing up as the grandson and son of electricians. He's deeply knowledgeable and cares about helping people. When I tried to tip him for a few days of work, he refused! OK, maybe next time, Sid. :)

I'll use this company again and will gladly recommend it to friends.

Sid is amazing! He is responsive, helpful and honest. We had him do several jobs for us: installing two out door electrical outlets in out front yard and a garage door opener outlet (needed a new outlet for a roll garage door that had to be placed in a pretty tight space) and are very happy with his work and recommendations. He is knowledgeable and very well hooked into various vendors in Alameda. We recently got a quote from him to replace our main electric panel to a 200 amp so we can add air conditioning. He was immediately on the phone with Alameda Electric to figure out where the main box was and explained the process. Now if all contractors were like that ... well I'd have write so many more reviews.

Sid's been out twice since that original review. Both times he was here in a jiffy and quickly ID'd and fixed the problem. Sid also gave me some advice on some constructions issues he observed while working under the house - very helpful. Sid is the best.

Called SJN when we had only half power. Sid came over within the hour, identified the problem within minutes, went and got the necessary replacement part and installed it just a few hours later. Very impressed with the speed, professionalism, and the amount charge was very fair. Highly recommend SJN.
