What can I say about Sid , he's the man . Melinda from
Next door recommended Sid . I didn't hesitate since electrical issue is not something I'd want to procrastinate . I called Sid at 6:40 pm ( way over the business hours for most electricians in alameda ) I did called 5-6 electricians and none replied . Sid asked where I was and I didn't think he would come at this time . I was very impressed when he showed up 20 mins later ready to diagnose the problem . He found the issue within 5 mins and called alameda municipal power and let them know the issue is at their end . I couldn't thank Sid enough , you are the man I owe you big time . I wouldn't be able to sleep if he didn't come to rescue us because this was a serious problem , as one of my electric power strip exploded and caused a fire .

If no one was home , my house would have been gone due to fire . I sincerely thank you , my whole family thank you . definitely call Sid if you have electrical problem

It's hard to give a review when you leave multiple messages and never receive a return phone call. With all the wonderful reviews and the connivence of their hours I figure this was a winner. After calling 3 times spaced a few days apart and leaving 3 messages with no return call we give up.
If someone was assigned to return calls maybe a message would have helped. I'm wondering if they don't instruct phone staff to leave messages. Anyway we were left with no alternative to call another highly rated company.
Totally disappointed and hoping this not the beginning of other dissatisfied possible customers.
BTW the messages were left on the number listed on yelp.

So happy I found Sid. He quickly returned phone calls and arrived at the time he said he would. He diagnosed and fixed my circuit problem very quickly and replaced a faulty outlet.
He will be back to install two new lighting fixtures.

We had planned to move into our house and realized that the electric system in the house needed updating. I've contacted several local electric companies and was told they were all too busy to take us on in a short time (to start in a couple weeks). Sid was working on our neighbor's house when our plumber recommended and reached out to him. Coincidentally, Sid was also the first one our realtor recommended when I told him that we couldn't find anyone. Sid kindly agreed to take a look at our project and gave us his estimate. He fit us in right away and was flexible about adding additional work after he started.

Sid (and John) worked fast and cleaned up as they go. He also took care of the permit process and dealt with the city inspector directly so we didn't have to. Sid went out of his way to help us with an old switch that was broken and had to be special ordered. He even helped us install an outdoor stair light that was not in our request due to the safety concern for us. When we had an issue with the humidifier sensor for the bathroom fan, he took another trip to help us fix the issue. Some of these issues might seem small, but they all add up when someone has to drive to our place to take care of it several times outside of the original project time. It is greatly appreciated.

Also, Sid is very funny and very easy to talk to. He does not talk down to you when you have questions or concerns. We are very happy with his work and will definitely contact him in the future when we need more work done. Highly recommended!

Sid has come by my house three times since the first electrical problem I had with a bad outlet. Each time he has given me great advice and even told me what to do to fix the problems myself rather than charging me to do the work. He's extremely knowledgeable about electrical work, city standards, and municipal issues. He's also very generous and fun to work with! Top notch. Five Stars. The best.

Probably the best contractor experience I've ever had was working with Sid. He was on time, addressed and fixed the first problem very quickly, took care of even more than I had originally asked, carefully explained what the problems were and how he was going to handle them, gave me a reasonable price, and kept me laughing all along the way. He definitely earns my stamp of approval. If you have any electrical problems, Sid is your solution.

We had issues with our backyard landscape lighting so we called another electrician in San Leandro, who didn't answer their phone or return our call. So we called Sid next, who answered in two rings and was able to come out the very next day. Sid quickly identified the problem and had the materials and tools to resolve it. He was very professional, friendly, and charged a reasonable rate. Glad the other electrician didn't return our call, as Sid was truly a blessing in disguise! We highly recommend Sid and intend to call on him again for any future projects.
