Each year, we manage about 5,000 home warranty work orders. The downside is navigating the confines of warranty policies. Most of the negative feedback we receive comes from clients frustrated with the rejection procedures of home warranty companies. Nonetheless, we strive for excellence and typically achieve a 4.75 annual rating from 1,000 customer surveys.

Initially based in the Chicago area focusing on new construction, the owners decided to acquire a business in Houston, shifting their focus to residential repairs and have embraced Texas ever since!

Do not trust their service or opinion... They came out to my house for a home warranty call. Ended up catching my wall on fire, broke a light switch, and now I'm having to pay for an actual pro to come out and fix their mess.

*Did not offer a service to fix and I never received another word. I had another professional clearly isolate and fix the problem.

One bad review, sure it could be the person reviewing. This isn't an isolated instance.

I placed a service request through my home warranty and this company SJDI ELECTRIC was the contractor. I had two switches that needed to be replaced. One switch was replaced with the other one, not because of some story that the switch and the bulb were not compatible. I have never heard that a light switch and bulb needed to be compatible in order to work properly. To make matters worse this contractor wanted to charge me more than my warranty to come out and change the switch that they did not change in the first visit. Now what does that sound like to you? A RIP-OFF. If you need some light switches done make sure the switch and bulb are compatible. Such a thing does not even exist, another electrician would properly laugh at you for asking a stupid question. Mind you my whole house has LED energy-saving bulbs. I don't think I've ever seen a light switch and bulb sold as a set together. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH SJDI ELECTRIC

Beeare! Unstabel technician sent to my home! Never use this company! The electrician sent to my house name was Sy. I belive he is one of the owners. He was abrasive from the start of entering my house. It was a home warranty call so there was multiple issues. He didn't even look at one of the plugs and told me not covered. When I told him it was covered before he got crazy and told me I had an attitude and stormed out of my house without looking at the other issue. He was off. I wouldn't feel safe with this company in my home again. I took of of work for the appointment and he treated me like crap. When I called the operator she was rude also. Don't hire them. Choose another company.
The Electrician SY is unstable. After reading reviews from the Better business beaut and other reviews there are similar negative reviews! Beware!

Scheduling process is difficult, they cannot commit on any timing (even a 4h window) before the previous day, which is unique...I switched my home warranty WO to another company that accommodated my 4h time window request immediately . I personally will not use this company in future.

Sy is the BEST!!! Have used him for years. Today, we had an alarm issue at 5am in the morning that woke us up. Sy jumped on it without hesitation. I was first bummed when Sy mentioned he could not come but Daniel was coming instead. My wife and I were so appreciative that Daniel was just as professional, knowledgeable and timely as SY. SJDI electric was assigned to us by our home warranty. They were amazing at communication, were quick to schedule, and sent a ""frequently asked questions"" email ahead of their visit. Our experience with this company went well above our expectations. Our problem was not easy to diagnose, but our electrician went above and beyond to try to diagnose and avoid putting holes in our walls. We are looking forward to working with them in the future. Highly recommend!

(((STAY AWAY FROM SJDI)))

After their initial visit, SJDI never submitted the assessment report to AHS which they needed to review and assign work to other contractors. During this time, my attic was still burning with high temperature heat in the middle of summer. Impacting HVAC system performance and my electric bill through the roof.

I called AHS for days for status, even escalated several times. AHS also made several attempts to email and call SJDI for days with no response. I can only conclude that since SJDI was paid in advance by AHS and they had no skin in the game, sending the assessment report to AHS was no longer a priority. This is UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL way of doing business in your community!!
