Recommended Customer Reviews

My experience with Signature Solar has been exemplary. There have been a couple of mistakes made and SigSolar cheerfully made everything right whether the mistake was mine or theirs. Regrettably, most of the problems were caused by me.
I can recommend Signature Solar without hesitation. Two thumbs and a big toe up from me!

Excellent seller. Buy with confidence as they will stand by all the products they sell. Special thanks to Tiffany for helping me out. Thank you Signature Solar.

I want to start off by saying my return of equipment was as a result of anything Signature Solar did. I actually am having a challenging locating someone willing to help me install. Due to this I returned the shipment.
I am so appreciative of the service they provided me by holding my order (when I hit order in error) to getting the shipment out when I say ok lets get it sent. To trying to assist with locating an installer all the way to sending me my refund. Believe me I understand things happen that can cause delays nonetheless I am grateful for the excellent customer service which included an update that my refund was initiated!
Thank you Signature Solar

I have been a Signature Solar customers for more than 4 years. I cannot say enough about how well they have gone above and beyond to accommodate my needs. I experienced a problem with a Gyll server rack battery and they spent at least 2 hours trying to help me bring the battery back to life. When that didn't eork they gave me a better exchange battery to solve the problem. While I was in Sulpher Springs Clay worked his pricing magic to give me a great deal on 16 high wattage solar panels. Before I left back to San Antonio I upgraded my Growatt es5000 and was given a spectaculr price on a new EG4 6000Ex. Signature Solar is a great place to buy state of the art solar equipment and supplies at extremely reasonable prices. Every representative that I have had contact with in the company has been great to deal with and made me feel valued as a customer. If I could give them a 10 star rating I would have no hesitations about doing it.

It's been ten days since the withdrawal of money in my account and no shipping date for my panels or gear has been sent to me. Sent them an email, no shipping date response. Just, ""sometime next week.""
Called today and was told that they didn't even have a shipping date available for my order. I asked for a full refund. Now I have to wait for that before I can order elsewhere. This place was a total waste of time. Shop elsewhere til they get their act together.

I've been to the retail store twice, I really have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm learning.. I've spoken with Clay and some of the other folks a few times and they've been super helpful..
I have dumb questions and they always have answers.
I'd just like to call them out and thank them for helping a complete newbie on this..

Signature Solar and EG4 Electronics are for DIYers like myself. I used to be an electronics technician in the military so it is pretty much a transferable skillset to the products they sell. If you want a full service solar company go elsewhere and pay twice the price for your ""25 year system guarantee"". When buying this equipment you need to keep in mind that everything needs to be calibrated to your systems specifications. Overall great price and quality compared to the competition. Also look for Youtube videos as they are a great source of information to help guide you with the mishaps.

Spent over $10k in solar equipment with Signature solar, purchasing 2 inverters, 4 lifepower Eg4 24v batteries and a charge controller. Within 2 years 3 out of the 4 batteries stopped working, they refused to take a charge anymore. Signature solar sent me 1 BMS board d to fix 1 battery and that's it! They also won't just sell you a BMS board, they rather you spend $1500 on a new battery. They said my setup was done incorrectly even though the system was pit in by a professional engineer.
These batteries are supposed to have an 8 year warranty and only lasted 2 years! The company is crap and their customer services and support is worse. You spend this much and they won't lift a finger to help.It takes weeks for someone to get back to to you then they trade you off to someone new and you have to start the whole process again. Their software for Identifying errors is way out of date, think 1990's and it won't work on a Mac computer, so I borrow and HP and still could n her get the software to work correctly. Avoid this company with a 10ft pole.

I had an inverter that went bad within 60 days of buying from Signature Solar, I had to buy a new unit send the old one back "" NO ADVANCED RMA! "" Then it took me over 200 days to get a refund from the first inverter! It was nonstop games with Signature Solar and a never-ending game of please hold from the people that work there. This company will make your blood pressure go thru the roof dealing with them. Sure, they are great when you're giving them money, but anything else you've beater get ready to have a phone voice mail & email battle, to get your money back if an issue comes up!

In my original purchase with Signature Solar, I had problems with the 2 EG4 6500EX-48V inverter, they had me shipped them back with my account being credited with a refund. Being that I had issues with the two EG4 6500EX-48V inverter's, I took the refund and purchased three Growatt 5000ES inverters with the intent to have one to run my load (one string of solar panels ran in series for this inverter), with the second Growatt 5000ES completely installed with wiring pre-ran awaiting second insulation of second string of solar panels ran in series, and to keep the third boxed up as a backup just in case one of the two failed that I had on the wall with only one in use.
The ""One Growatt 5000ES"" along with the ""One solar string that I was running in series that ran my sub-panel load did very well for my operation. I had my new inverter setting set to as follow; When I had no solar coming in at night, and my battery's life to 20%, the Grid would would kick in with powering my sub-panel load, also charging my battery bank at the same time. My wiring for this to take place is; AC Input from inverter ran to junction box with landing on 60amp breaker, with second 60amp breaker in same junction box running to my main grid panel and landing on a third 60amp breaker. All ran flawless, and I was very happy.
And the problems begin:
Once I had my second solar string installed and running in series, I took my first inverter off line, and brought my second inverter on line that I had pre-installed. The first 24 hours, all was good then it turned for the worst. On this second inverter I received fault code 51 then the unit blew with a loud bang. At that point I completely took inverter 2 offline, and put inverter 1 back online, and all was well once again . I immediately called customer service and had live tech support within minutes. After doing a diagnostics test with Ethan Klein, and Matthew Simo two ticket were created (#47922 - #48108) and put to level 2 status on March 26, 2024 - (at this point I took number two inverter off the wall and put it back into the box), all communications after March 26 on this ticket have stopped from Signature Solar. I called and expressed my concerns on this tickets that were created, and in better terms found that it was misplaced. Now, 4 days have past, and no communications from Signature Solar. Since inverter 2 was not dead, I replaced it with the third inverter that I purchased for ""backup"". The backup inverter I put on line was good for 24 hours, and once again, fault code 51 came up, took a picture of the display screen, and shut it down. After 15 minutes I brought it back online and it blew as well. I called customer support and spoke with Joe Murillo this time, and the diagnostics began on the backup inverter, ticket number 3, (#49519)
Now I'm back to my number one inverter to power my load, at least I had 1 good one left with no problems until a couple of night ago. On inverter 1, I decided to run a test and that is how long could I run my sub-panel load just off the battery bank at night. I turned my inline AC 60amp breaker off at the junction box and the test began with running off of battery's alone. Three hours later all the battery's went into alarm stage at 20% life left. I powered everything down at this point and hooked up my charged inverter to bring my battery bank back up to 100% charge. The next day when I went to power up my system I notice that one of the battery's was completely drained and did not take a charge. This time I talked with Dylan Barnett and we are doing a diagnostics test on the battery which I will do today
Needless to say, now I'm down to five battery's.. After I got off the phone with Dylan, it was time to power my solar system back up. Now, after doing the test for how long my battery bank could go without solar, not only am I having problem with one battery not working, I'm getting fault code 8 on inverter 1 that I original had no problems with. Again, I called Signature Solar, and Gavin Myrdahl is my tech support for ticket number 4 (#47210)
My time is very limited because of my job as a contract employee for the United States Postal Service. After doing a diagnostics test with Gavin, with no result of why I was getting fault code 8 with Grid tied in, he recommended for me to call the manufacture of the Growatt5000ES inverter about the fault code 8. As I mentioned above, my time is limited, I should not have to call the manufacture to get this issue resolved when I purchased all of my solar equipment from Signature Solar.
As of this moment, not a happy customer
When night comes, I shut down my whole solar System and put my sub-panel load back on the Grid by breaker to breaker, and in the morning, I shut the breaker off and power the inverter back up with solar only. Not happy by all means. Cost of investment as of now 15,000 plus. My plan, stacking 6 more server rack battery's at a cost of 8,103.00 with per-assembled rack included.
