We ordered a 24K Hybrid mini split from Signature Solar, EG4. It leaked the Freon out of a bad Chinese braze at a fitting. Kierstyn asked me to send a picture, which I did. I was given 2 options, send it back (after a 5 hour install) and pay for shipping or get the fitting replaced locally and submit the receipt. I have a copy of the call. It turned out to be a easy crimp fitting and then a refill. I submit the receipt as requested and the denied the claim. Kierstyn listened to the call and agreed that she could see my side and would call me back. 2 weeks pass and nothing. I called back to get LaTonya. I offered to take the repayment for the work as a store credit as that is a show of good faith of ordering more on my part. She was helpful and took ownership. She said the most they would do is 50% & that it would be a store credit. To me, as a business owner, this is the worst resolution. Hopefully Jim Schowalter, the owner, reads this. His team gave something up only to keep the customer unhappy. I did order more equipment. When I did, I was overbilled by $85. I called back and the team lead said he would fix it. He didn't know how it happened. Thankfully I had recorded that conversation as well. In summary, a lot of the stuff is made in China, so definitely open everything no matter how long it takes upon delivery. Record your conversations and get as much as you can in writing. We still have a lot of equipment to buy and may shop it around based on our experiences with Signature Solar.

UPDATE: I ordered another 24K BTU Hybrid EG4 mini split and had a better experience. The fitting on the unit did not leak. I did hold the driver and did not sign the paperwork until I inspected the unit. It installed in 6 hours, most of which was related to woodwork on the cabin. I've raised my review from 1 star to 3. I have more EG4 projects and will keep everyone updated.

Signature Solar is awesome to work with. We are going full solar, off-grid at our new house, and they answered all of our questions anytime we asked. Preston was great and super helpful when I did the online chat, making our purchase a breeze.

The 6500EX inverters seem to have lots of issues. I have to have two replaced and don't feel they are dependable enough. Signature Solar customer service is slow but overall they seem to want to help and get your issues fixed. They have guidelines that I don't necessarily agree with but that is not a tech issue - more a management issue. I am waiting to get two inverters replaced. Once I do I will update this review with how it went.

Buckle up, this is gonna be a lengthy review .
1st had 2 solar panels damaged by hail in 2024. The company that installed my system in 2020 went out of business two weeks before the Hail Storm.
2nd it was almost impossible to find anybody who had these Q Peak, solar panels. Had a local Installer ( he takes panels off when roof repairs are necessary and then put them back on) look for panels and the only ones he could find were in Florida. Seems panels become discontinued really quick.. Evolving technology I guess
However, shipping was exorbitant.
Got an email from a company called Signature Solar up in Sulphur Springs Texas. I called and talk to a man named Clay and sent him pictures of all the specs for my solar panels. He could not find exact replacements, and agreed to do some research and get back with me. Several hours later, he emailed and said he had found some panels that would work. They were similar in size and wattage.
This all took place back in early December and with some vacations already planned, I wasn't able to get back with Signature Solar until the end of January . The panels Clay had spec were still available and so I arranged to pick up replacement panels on Monday the 27th. Pricing was Super reasonable!!
Location :
This place is massive. (It used to be an old Lee Blue Jean factory.) They have a very nice front office area with lots of displays and very clean restrooms. A young lady approached me named Kadence and ask how she could help.
She looked very young, but don't let her appearance fool you.... Kadence knows the administrative part of the business like the back of her hand. She had no trouble looking up invoices, finding pricing, finding emails and knowing everything about what I needed to do to pick up this order, including where I needed to park. Very Professional!!
Loading :
Three men showed up at my SUV with a forklift and the panels I ordered. They were thoughtful enough to bring some corrugated paper to put under the panels to protect the interior of the car as they loaded the panels.
Tyrique & Tobias loaded the panels with care. The fork lift operator was Jorge A. he scored major points by having his seatbelt on !!
Note: So many times you see forklift operators operating their forklift without their seatbelt on. This is a big safety violation and a risk that should never be taken. Everyone needs to go home at the end of the day.
Management:
It appears this business is very professionally managed, from the front office, to the loaders, to the forklift drivers wearing their seatbelts. This shows that management is paying attention to details and details matter.
So for me today, the experience was very professional and expertly carried out and thus...... they get a well earned 5 STAR REVIEW !!
PS - they even offer a military discount :-)

My experience with Signature Solar has been exemplary. There have been a couple of mistakes made and SigSolar cheerfully made everything right whether the mistake was mine or theirs. Regrettably, most of the problems were caused by me.

I want to start off by saying my return of equipment was as a result of anything Signature Solar did. I actually am having a challenging locating someone willing to help me install. Due to this I returned the shipment.

I am so appreciative of the service they provided me by holding my order (when I hit order in error) to getting the shipment out when I say ok lets get it sent. To trying to assist with locating an installer all the way to sending me my refund. Believe me I understand things happen that can cause delays nonetheless I am grateful for the excellent customer service which included an update that my refund was initiated!

I have been a Signature Solar customers for more than 4 years. I cannot say enough about how well they have gone above and beyond to accommodate my needs. I experienced a problem with a Gyll server rack battery and they spent at least 2 hours trying to help me bring the battery back to life. When that didn't eork they gave me a better exchange battery to solve the problem. While I was in Sulpher Springs Clay worked his pricing magic to give me a great deal on 16 high wattage solar panels. Before I left back to San Antonio I upgraded my Growatt es5000 and was given a spectaculr price on a new EG4 6000Ex. Signature Solar is a great place to buy state of the art solar equipment and supplies at extremely reasonable prices. Every representative that I have had contact with in the company has been great to deal with and made me feel valued as a customer. If I could give them a 10 star rating I would have no hesitations about doing it.
