We experienced one problem after another with Kevin Shea. At first he was a NO SHOW then it was one excuse after another starting with ex-wife won't watch the kids, truck broke down, sick with the flu, working late on another job! His work is substandard, placing holes in the ceiling for can lights that were not symmetrical (had to patch and re-do) disconnecting wires in the wall, disconnecting power to the dishwasher, moving an electrical outlet 4"" charging $150 and not even patching the job. To date he will not come to fix his mistakes

I had Keith come out and give me an estimate to install a couple of ceiling fans in bedrooms that had no wiring and install a new outlet. He provided a fair estimate and came out three days later and did a SUPERB job. He did the job the way I would have done it if I had his skills and experience. I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews. I would give him more stars if I could and he will be the first person I call if/when I need electrical work in the future. Thanks Keith.

Update- Angie's List refunded the money I paid, since I couldn't get ahold of Kevin Shea to complete the service.
I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing a deal on Angie's List. Kevin Shea is completely unreliable if he already has your money. I purchased a deal for four recessed lights with dimmer. I was booked for a Monday, and Kevin called a few days before to say he was double booked and switched me to TUES from 1-3. I sent an email on TUES morn to reconfirm they would arrive between 1-3 and took the afternoon off from work. When they hadn't arrived by 3pm, I left a message every 30 mins, no call back until 438p. Kevin said his worker had a flat tire and said he had called me to inform me, but when I told him I hadn't received a message and asked what number he had called he said it started with 858, my number starts with 619. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and rebooked the next afternoon which required me to again take off work, (usually I travel out of town each week). He promised his worker would arrive at 1pm (no window since he said he wanted to make up for the missed appt, just promised he would be there promptly at 1pm). The person didn't arrive by 1pm, same thing, called Kevin. No response from Kevin but the worker called at 3pm and said he was on his way, he showed up at about 330pm. He complained when he got her and said Kevin had booked the previous appt far from my home and not given him enough time to get here at 1pm. When he looked at the room he quickly said he had the wrong depth canisters for the recessed lights. I asked how long it would take to order new ones. He said, ""We can get them right away, Kevin just has to go to the store"". ""I may be back tonight but I'll make sure he calls you and let's you know what's going on"". No call that evening or all day THUR. Left him messages on FRI, on FRI evening I received an email that he had been busy the last few days but would get me scheduled in over the weekend. No call on the weekend, didn't hear from him until late MON night with a message that said he was driving home and would call me later. Another week has passed and still no call. Not sure how he stays in business except with some positive reviews, he must focus on those that haven't paid first and continue to put other pre-paid customers on the very distant back burner. Horrible customer service and I
can't rate his actual work since he never did anything. Disputing the charge now.
